I realize you do not like the knicks now but really. They would jump over backwards to get rid of Perkins who some how manage to have an even worst playoffs than last year. The guys is awful basketball player.

not at the expense of lamb and the 12th pick... why would they do that for chandler? let me ask you this... would you trade pick 12 and 29 and lamb for chandler... now remember you are GM of okc not a knick fan here....

tkf--A big part of a problem OKC has now is Perkins and his 8.5mm for the next two years. Moving that contract and that player for a very nice upgrade would be significant. Lets be fair Tyson is a BIG upgrade over Perkins.. They can move Jackson to 6th man and let Martin walk.

tyson chandler has not been playing well here briggs, of late, OKC does not need chandler.. not at the expense of what you are asking.. if you think lamb is a future stud, well then so does OKC... why would they make this move? come on man..

Tyson is a significant upgrade over Perkins--its not close. He will score 10-11 points there--that +7 over Perkins. Whatever you feel Tyson has not done here--Perkins has been much worse. Tyson is also 3-4 inches taller and runs the floor better. With Tyson and Ibaka--OKC would be hard to beat with the rest of that team.

i admire BRIGGS and RonRon for going out on a limb to suggest trade proposals (not matter how crazy I think some of them are..lol). However, to be honest, this might not be out of reach. I can picture the knicks making major changes to upgrade their roster. Since amare cant go anywhere, the biggest asset is Tyson.

Portland is willing to offer their #14 draft pick for a legit starting center.
OKC is going to amnesty perkins.

Tyson is a solid player who could help a team alot. Im not saying any trades are def gonna happen but for the first time i believe RonRon that Tyson might be moved

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Chandler has been underachieving but we would still need to get some real value for him. I don't think a late lottery pick is enough. It would have to be a top 10 at worst or better yet a real upgrade at another position. Chandler should land us a 2nd scorer or upgrade at PG. A major upgrade would have to be the return value.

I think we all seem to be in agreement that we should look to trade Chandler before his contract is up and while he still has the most trade value. I've seen a lot of Bledsoe and Jordan trades for him, which I like alot. I personally like this trade because it also nets us multiple assets in the form of player(s) and draft pick(s). One of the most effective (albeit risky) ways to upgrade the roster is through the draft so if we're able to get a warm body to man the 5 (like Perkins) and draft picks that can contribute, I'd be satisfied with it, especially since it puts us below the apron to re-sign JR and in a position to add a free agent center like Jermaine O'Neal to fill out the position.

The only thing I'd do differently is to make that Clippers deal for Bledsoe and Jordan, to then use Jordan as the bait for Perkins and picks. It'll get us a smaller individual return but Bledsoe plus Perkins, the trade exception, Lamb and some 2nd round picks would definitely peak my interest.

....We could also move Jordan to Portland for Meyers Leonard, a huge trade exception, and a pick or multiple picks depending on how interested they are. Bledsoe, Meyers, an even bigger trade exception and draft picks is a nice return IMHO.

....Or even still, we could move Perkins to Portland for Leonard alone, which would leave us with Eric Bledsoe, Jeremy Lamb, Meyers Leonard, some 2nd round picks and nearly a $10 million trade exception in a trade. I really like this alternative the most.

Kendrick perkins? hes horrible.

I could live with Jordan or any servicable big man who can play defense. im not as high on bledsoe as everyone else though.

Put Chandler on that team and how do they look?

Perkins 3 pts 6 rebounds Tyson 10 points 10 rebounds thats +7 and 4 enough to put5 them back over the top.

Wouldn't that mean -7 and -4 for us then?!
This makes sense only if it's part of major rebuilding where we dump most of our veterans including Melo. Otherwise, why such a huge downgrade at center?

I've never liked Perkins(or at least his persona) or his game but if we can re-route him for value, then why not? What I was proposing was essentially Tyson Chandler for Eric Bledsoe, Jeremy Lamb, Myers Leonard the 12th pick or multiple picks from OKC and about a $10 million trade exception. That's a great haul IMO.
