it's never his fault

oh yea never......

Melo and JR's supporting cast this post-season has averaged 47 PPT on 40 shots a game. I don't know what more people expect from them on offense.

Melo haters have raging hard-ons now, and while I guess he technically could play better, the real problem is mostly everyone else has been AWFUL

You're just gonna stick to your talking points rather than address anything I actually said?

I didn't look at tonights box score but game 3 the other starters shot 7/25. Maybe early 90's Jordan overcomes that but I don't think so.

I dont get why, today, we cant say they all played poorly and uninspired. The team as a whole looked lost and mediocre. Now if you wanna talk the whole post season then I agree. For the most part, Melo's "supporting cast" (I hate that term) has been winning in spite of his crap shooting.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

You get that type of output, when you have two volumn shooters in Melo and JR on the same team. They take more than half of the offensive attempts each game. So I'm not surprised the supporting case plays so ****ty.

When Melo was out, that same supporting case was winning games....and scoring points.

When Chandler was out, Martin looked like a superstar playing center.....With shooters like Novak and Copeland around him to open up pick and rolls.

melo a -18

Not all his fault at all though

Plus/minus is not the whole story. There is just nobody else for Indiana to really focus in on defense. Nobody else (that gets minutes, at least) is a threat from outside. Paint gets packed and Melo keeps running into a wall. Sure, I guess he could hit more threes but how much can you ask from the guy? He isn't Lebron

he took maybe 3-4 midrange shots. pacers contest the 3 and at the rim and give you the midrange 8-12 feet. the midrange is the place on the floor where a majority of his shots should be coming. he has a great-looking stroke but he is too stupid and clumsy footwork-wise to work his way to that part of the floor. he also has no head and ball fakes in his repertoire... where is the step-back jumper?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Maybe JKidd to hit a shot, any shot, more than once every 3 months. Small, but extremely data bending sample size, I know.

The bench at one point had accounted for all of 5 points by around half time. Let's blame that one on Melo too.

look at this,

tyson shouldn't be in the nba,

jr is in the club not on the court when he is playing,

i actually FEEL FOR MELO in this one, because this guy, he's the only baller we got,

with all of Melo's faults he's 10 times the baller than anyone else on this junker they call an NBA team,

let's scrap it all and put some NBA players around Melo,

MESSAGE TO MELO:

MELO, I'M SORRY YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO THIS, YOU POOR GUY, AND I'M SORRY FOR BEING HARD ON YOU ALL THESE YEARS

I hear you. Melo has no legitimate number, but he gets criticized over and over. 75% of the criticism is undeserved. Melo doesn't have a Pippen, Bosh & Wash, Stockton, Pau or Mark Gasol, Ginobli, Parker, etc. Melo doesn't have anyone on this team that is consistent. Felton has the ability to be a little consistent, but the guy is fat cry baby who loses his composure if calls doesn't go his way.

Until Melo can play along side another potential Hall of Famer in his prime, I can't see us winning anything anytime soon.
