Woodson said he is concerned about Shumpert. Soreness and swelling three days later are not good signs.

FFS! Why did they wait 3 days to check this out properly?! Get ready for some bad news

Damn can this team catch a break?

it's the persisted swelling that initiated the checking, so you have to wait.

Swelling is one thing...

I was told by someone close to the team that Shump “is in pain.” Not good.

Could have the same injury Westbrook has. Sucks.

Praying that is not the case, I'm not sure this team could recover from that kind of loss...

Does Woody reach for QRich or go all out with extended minutes for Swish?

I think a torn meniscus is probably the best case scenario at this point- grrr!

Q-brick can match our 3point shooting this series and then some!

Not taking anything away from shump because i love the kid, but the knicks seem to play better when the rotation is tight and some one is injured

If there were an official problem, you'd think that Shumpert would have flown back to NY or have gotten an exam in a local Indy hospital/doctor.

It could be some fluid build up in his knee after some trauma, which might be solved by a little lancing and draining. Or it could be the discovery of some real damage in there.

I hope he's able to play his normal demon defense... otherwise this series will have gotten a whole lot tougher.

A win tonight regains home court advantage and avoids a 1-3 hole. That's what's at stake.

Last time, it was just scar tissue breaking up.

I know for me, coming off of two achillies surgeries....This happens when you rush back too soon, and think you can play at the same level as before.

If I'm correct, he just needs some inflammatories and rest. Rest against Indy, and come back to guard Wade.

We need a knock down shooter in the lineup anyway. Shump was missing wide open jumpers, so he started to drive the ball instead of shooting it. That increased his knee pounding. Maybe this opens the door for Copeland or Q.....Anybody thats ready to knock down open jumpers, please step forward.

He's going to play. (or at least try)

Sounds more about him being injured, not hurt. It's unclear whether the injury is a more bruise than sprain/strain or not...

Shump was our magic bullet. Well, him and Prigioni.

No structural damage. That would have sucked @$$.

Well, let's hope he doesn't get hurt playing with tweaked mechanics while nursing the injury.
