IronWillGiroud - what would you think of a male tennis fan putting the same gesture in the face of Maria Sharipova?

yeah, its one thing to heckle, that's part of the game but, when you start invading their personal space like that, things can get ugly real fast. They need to maybe make those tunnels a little wider to give more distance between the fans and players.

i think when you put yourself out there as a pro athlete, it's fair to be subject to abuse by the fans, i don't see why it would get to a healthy athlete

the issue is proximity and considering how INSANE some fans can be, especially after they have had a few drinks.....the potential for a very ugly incident can't be denied.

think of how easily that could have gone from a f-you finger in the face to being mushed or worse because, he was within her reach.

yea, they are close,

if it got ugly, it's on the player 100%,

it was a rude gesture but at the end of the day it's not any different from all the other abuse and heckling pro ballers receive from opposing fans,

that's why the player is a pro, as a pro you are in a different world than the fan,

if she touched him, this is a different story, but no contact, i say fair game

So if someone walks up to you in the street, invaded your personal space, and mushed you, you wouldn't do anything? Just because you play a sport exceedingly well doesn't mean that you're not human. Fights have been started for less, especially in New York amongst New Yorkers.

that's an absurd comparison and you know it (or i hope you do)

Gotta go with Iron on that^ even though we were debating opposite sides

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Et Tu Kenyon Martin?

Filomena lives a few doors away from Michael Jordan.

"Personally, I find that offensive. The game was exciting, there was a lot of physical contact, a lot of emotions going on, but I don't think that's necessary," - Cheri Snyder, Miami Heat fan.

"We just want to ask our fans to cheer for us and to boo them when they come here and all that, but let's stay first class around here in Miami." - Dwayne Wade.

The Miami Heat sent Filomena a "code-of-conduct warning" letter but did not revoke her season tickets.

The NBA should start having a discussion with personal safety of the opposing team players or else what happen in Detroit-Pacers rumble in the stands incident will repeat itself sooner.

Tobias should of been escorted out of the stadium immediately. Luckily, Noah got a paid back with the public reaction that sympathizes him due to rabid fan action which is just unacceptable. - richwebnews, Miami

Looks like the court of popular opinion is taking care of her.

IM sure the majority of fans in Miami, as tacky as they might dress and appear are not like her.

Her daughter looked hot once upon a time and now looks like her mother. They try so hard to hang on to their youth!

Filomena's second 15 mintes of fame may put her, and Heat fans, on front street more than she (and David Stern) would like.

what would Dave DeBusschere, John Starks or Ken "The Animal" Bannister do?

Beat Indiana, so we can take our talents to South Beach.

DeBusschere would guard Lebron and get it done. Starks would get T'd up. "The animal" would ride the pine.

Dave D. guarded Wilt in 70' and freaked him the phuch out! Wilt was too busy hunting Pussy to care.

I got a bad feeling about this series. Got to get the split and bring it home 2-2. Yeah, Im thinking they take us inside and their bigs deliver body blows.

Celtics were a 7th seed who got old and cooked. Never worried about it. Indy got depth and can grind knicks into stupidity.
