I don't think Tyson is healed from his neck injury. He hasn't had an all around good game since he has come back.

Yawn.. Melo's shoulder is quite clearly in pain and yet every media outlet on the planet continues to bring up his shooting efficiency the last few games and question his level of talent. I thought we had a big 3? Yet something is always plaguing Amare and Tyson in the postseason. Yet Melo always brings it, injured or not. The injuries coincide with nasty shooting stretches which he gets crucified for. Go figure.

Anyway, with all these damn injuries, this break between Games 2 and 3 will help the Knicks a lot more than the Pacers.

Also, not as much yesterday, but some of Tyson not getting more boards in game 1 was Melo chucking shots in transition with nobody in position to rebound. But it's no excuse why there isn't more defensive rebounds. I agree, I think he's still nursing his injury.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

He sucks, it's not picking on him. When he steps up, IF he steps up I will acknowledge it. Right now he is a NON-FACTOR.

Jared Jeffries sucks.
Tyson Chandler does not suck. He may not be Shaquille O'Neal, but he's, at worst, an average center. And I'd say better.

+1 Tyson Chandler does not suck ! and he had a decent game yesterday ...

couldn't agree more... I want Chandler to hit the glass harder too but last night the Pacers basically made all their shots or turned the ball over. When they started missing it long range chucks and the perimeter guys typically get the rebounding opportunities on such shots. Chandler needs to up his game for certain but i don't buy that he is a detriment to the Knicks at all.

I looked at the stats and people here are right. We outrebounded them as a team so we at least had that. Like I said, it's good we got the guards to rebound.

We still need Tyson to clean up. As I mentioned, it's not going to work out like that so much in Indiana. 3 and 4 rebounds a game is not good regardless of the circumstances. We need him to establish himself in some manner.

i was kidding about that R and meant it like Durzo should have assumed Charlie's identity on this website... I don't think that us knowing the Knicks contacted him is a big deal at all. In fact as a fan I'm happy to hear the organization is reaching out to older players. Maybe they come back maybe they don't but at least they're talking

you're right in that hitting the glass (and moving the ball) are insanely important in this series. I just think Chandler will be a major difference maker if the Knicks make noise this postseason. He certainly has been a beast here when healthy and he plays when he's at 85 percent

shoulder boy was 0-18 on 3's before the injury, or something like that, please don't blame injury on a career inefficient player

Agreed. I just wish he wasn't hurt. Otherwise, maybe a bigger difference could be made. If and when Amar'e comes back though, that could make things a lot easier in this series. I don't even particularly care if Amar'e hits the low post or not. I just want him hitting jumpers. That's all Amar'e needs to do on offense. If he has Hansborough or anyone else, while Hibbert is sitting, then Amar'e can hit the post a little bit.

Agree with this, also that chandler is being badly outplayed by Hibert. Its the worst matchup because hibbert doesnt have to guard Tyson, so he's free to help.

Enter Amare just on reputation Hibbert has to guard him.

I'm glad those 3 crashed the boards but Tyson HAS to do a better job establishing himself and so does Martin. We aren't going to beat the Pacers in Indy if we go on like that.

You do realize this was the game plan? The guards were supposed to crash the boards for rebounds while Tyson tied up Hibbert. Kidd, Melo and Tyson all spoke of this after the game. We won because of how effective Tyson was last night, irregardless if it shows up in a box score.

Yes, and I'm sure Amare will also fix being outrebounded by a 7'2" behemoth with his own zip code, since it's been established time and again that Stat channels Rodman on the boards of late.

I don't see Coach Frank suddenly moving his immovable object at the rim because we trot out creaky old Amare. They will live and obviously die watching people hit mid range jumpers.

im assuming amar'e gets what.. 15 minutes saturday? i wouldn't even mind playing him with melo for some of those minutes because he's going to force the pacer bigs to come out on him from 18ft away leaving melo an unclogged area by the hoop.

Very nice, maybe if you could actually bother quoting the entire few sentences I wrote it wouldn't be so funny. Chandler has been awful this year, I don't know why that's humorous to someone that cares about the knicks' success. Take off the rose-colored glasses for once.
