![]() I will take Little Nate over J Kidd next year
I think JR should stay at that 5 million tag --- seems fair for both sides |

My take is this, Novak is a "fringe" bench player while N8 could easily start on many teams. Novak shouldn't even be worth N8's attention Unless Novak had done something to N8 or one of his teammates. the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. ![]() I'd still take JR. He was playing terrific up until the suspension. Plays defense, rebounds, and has despite the heat on the message board, the team and coaching staff seem to have his back. Granted, out of the last four games, his best performance came in Game 4...
Nate is balling, but I agree with the wait and see. I didn't have any problem with Novak's reply to the Nate mock, but if we're trying to play this or that with our bench, let's try to unload Steve to bring in Nate... |

Wouldn't mind THAT at all. I never wanted to see N8 leave...he's immature and can be a real ass at times but, you can live with his antics as long as he's performing. If not, you bench him until he can or does. the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. ![]() Nate was young when he was with the Knicks but he was putting up this type of games when he was with the Knicks...Only difference now is that the playoffs and he he has a national stage..They year MDA sat Nate for 14 games, I pointed out 5 games Nate single handedly won for us...Most here has no problem backing MDA when he ran Nate out of town..

![]() Nate's had some serious big game experience - was a key component with the Celtics. However, it's a red flag when any number of quality teams (and big name coaches) give up on you.
The same can be said about JR Smith. Nate, however, will be turning 29 on May 31st. JR Smith is younger, more ideally sized for a swingman, rebounds like a beast when he wants to, and turns 28 in September. Neither guy has a tremendous # of miles on him based on limited minutes, so should remain strong performers for quite a while. JR also has 6th man of the year hardware. “That was two, two from the heart.” - John Starks

![]() Nate is leading all players in the playoffs in assists and points in the fourth quarter. He can't be guarded and is making smart plays.
JR Smith is an *******. And has been extremely selfish. He has regressed into the player he will always be. He averaged 26 a game down the stretch by playing smart and like Melo always forgets what was working for the team. Something to keep in mind. Our superstar Carmelo Anthony Nate at 5'9 is shooting 50% That's a disgrace. |

![]() Both JR and Nate have had maturity issues but both have blossomed with age and playing for structured coaches that have them buying into team concepts, defense etc. Nate was a wildcard in NY but he also wasn't coached or mentored by D'Antoni. Too bad so much time and so many moves were made by the gm to try to make that hire look like it was the right one.

Walsh's job was to clean up Isiah's mess, install a culture that does not promote racism or sexual harrassment lawsuits and shed the team of Marbury. Open up cap space for Lebron and friends, or Amare and Melo. Walsh is not the Wizard of Oz and beholden to give: Marbury heart, Tim Thomas Currage, and special Nate a brain! Nate also did not find it with Larry, Or Isiah, or in Boston with Doc or OKC with Brooks! Some pretty good names in the group don't you think? Bulls are a desperate team who have to rely on taking the collar off Nate and letting him lose. Nate is a bit more mature also and in need of a contract. That keeps him focused these days. Blame MDA for everything? that act is getting old! Nate is like my nephew's "Furby"! Its fun for a day then it won't shut the phuck up! |
