He has all the physical tools to be a star in this league - but can he put the effort there every night, and consistently perform, hitting open shots.

That's why it was important for him to come back this time of year...Unlike Rose, he won't be worried about his knee when he is working on his game in the offseason..it's will be all about improving and not about his health...

I loved it. The JET!!

I would've flew around the entire gym, right in front of their bench....Similar to how Nate Rob did a million double checks after his big 3pt shot. Maybe come back around Jason Terry too....Thats still less offensive than what KG said about Melo's wife.

Ha, who would have been worse JJ Redick or Jared Dudley?! Also don't forget, if the Lakers hadn't stepped in and saved us we were about to trade Shump for Nash...

Turns out the ACL recovery forecasts were right- it takes 12 months to get right. Glad he battled though all this- it was really rough for him the first month or two- he could easily have just sat out the season waiting to regain his "muscle memory" like the Resting Rose.

Next year Shump is going to be a beast. You can see he is trusting his knee more and more.

I admit I lost the faith on Shump earlier this season... but that was completely unfair. He's 22 and came off a devastating injury... he's in beast mode at the perfect time. With him bouncing back and Pablo emerging, I suspect Indy won't have enough quality tape to accurately gameplan for the first two games

Was the put back the first dunk since the injury? Really can't remember him throwing it down since.

His shot is really becoming consistent and I thought he won us the game last night w/ his play on both ends.

I have never had a ACL injury but my friend did and said that it also has psychological effects. Look at Derrick Rose he could probably help the Bulls even if he plays for 10 minutes but he is afraid of getting hurt again. i think Shumpert went through the same thing but now he has his strength and his confidence back. its great to see

He dunked once in Atlanta, I only remember because I was at that game. I can't think of a different time this season. It's funny cause if you use Shump in 2k he does these ridiculous windmill dunks and crap all game, it's good to see him finally coming around.

It's really good to see the old Shump back! He was ALL OVER the Celtics guards. I know Pierce will be seeing Shump steal the ball in his nightmares! IMO the only thing i'd like to see Shump improve is his drives to the basket. He attempts some of the worst layups i've very seen. He always seems to make them harder then they need to be. It's like he learned how to lay it up from Jared Jeffries. The one good thing is that his Jumper is WAY better now. It's a nice and compact shooting motion and he looks totally comfortable shooting now. Reminds me of Bruce Bowen how he developed his jumper to go along with his great defense.

I think its the euro step that is throwing him off. He sucks at it and to me it seems he over strides trying to get separation but loses balance on most his layups.

I also think his ball handling has gotten better.

me too. Dude was stinking it up here and there but, his offense was showing signs before the post season started. Who the hell saw this coming???

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
