First we had: Gallo better than Melo.
than we had Lin better than Melo.
than we heard smatterings of Lee better than Melo
than we heard JKidd better than Melo

Now it's Curry the Kid better than Melo.

Coming soon: Is Nate better than Melo?

There is a big difference with Gallo, Lin, Lee, JKidd being better than Melo than Stephen Curry better than Melo.

Gallo will never be a superstar.

Lin will never be a superstar.

Lee is very efficient, double double guy but you still give the edge to Melo for sure.

JKidd in his cameo as Yoda is retiring any second, so no debate there.

Nate always had the athletic ability, never the mindset or the consistency.

Now we're comparing apples and apples. Different positions, sure, but both great players.

Steph Curry is the real deal, and I love Carmelo Anthony on the Knicks.

There's nothing wrong with saying one is superior or has more skills or is more talented.

Ewing was the man for the Knicks. 50th Greatest Player in NBA History. Made the playoffs every year and competed for titles.

That said, I'll easily say David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett were all greater players than him.

No Knock on Melo, just acknowledging greatness growing before our eyes.

Curry has unlimited range.

Carmelo can drive on anyone.

It's close.

Carmelo has supreme talent

no he doesn't......

Curry has unlimited range.

true

Carmelo can drive on anyone.

that can be said of any player.. finishing is the key tho...

with that said. I like curry, easy for me on that one, but I have always been a fan of peter pan, wanted the knicks to draft him. he is an unique player, very good passer, with a great release, just surprised he is not a better PG, although he is a good PG, with his skills, he should be a GReat PG...

I like curry because he seems to play with more poise, and just brings more to the table.. not much more.. but more when you include his ability to pass...

I have witnessed Melo single handedly carry a team for a month at a time for two consecutive years..Melo has played at a higher level for a longer period of time...Melo warrants more attention from apposing teams..I have never heard a team game plan for Curry..

Curry what, show up for a game every now and then??..Curry got an Olympic invite yet??..So good play is new to him??

But, we went hard after every win, even though the plan all along was to clear cap and go for Lebron.

Maybe Lebron would have liked playing next to Steph Curry & whoever else (Amar'e ) we could have gotten.

Curry wouldv'e been a bum in NY. Between the fans and the media, he wouldn't even be healthly enough to play, and everybody would be on his lack of defense and strength to guard bigger players.

Unfortunately, the best thing that happened to Curry was to get drafted by Golden State and coached by Mark Jackson....A Perfect Storm!

That can be said about a lot of great players who were lucky enough not to be taken by the knicks

We could have had both had Walsh been a little more of a fore thinker(instead of getting caught up) and had we not tipped out hand something fierce in the 2009 draft.

If Curry was that good he would making the max.

Curry isnt as good as Kyrie Irving and Kyrie Irving isnt better than Melo.

Some posters hate Melo so much they will try to justify anything.

Everybody loves the shiny new thing.

Have to go back through UK and dig up all the "Gaddam, wish we had Stephen Curry!" threads over the past 5 years...

I agree lets see what curry does vs a team that actually knows hiw to defend. Judging Curry vs Denver and Melo vs Biston is not a good barometer

curry and kyrie are both fantastic young players.. right now, kyrie is home watching curry play.. that is the truth..

kyrie has shown to be a bit injury prone as has curry...

you say kyrie is not better than carmelo.... I think some may disagree...

really? come on, certain players on any team is game planned for.. I hear this argument in favor of carmelo so much, as if the nuggets are not going bonkers on finding ways to stop this guy... don't game plan for him and he will drop 54 on you, like he did the knicks.. you can bet your bottom dollar teams game plan for him... it is ridiculous to think otherwise..

Curry is unique in that he can control the game from 30 feet. Think about having to apply that kind of defensive pressure that far out and how that would open the court up for their other guys. It's to bad we didnt lose a few more games in 2009.

It;s tough to compare the two now because Curry is having such a surreal playoff run that he will never be able to sustain. If I'm basing this off the regular season, I then I have to say Melo. He's more physical and he has more options to fall back on offensively.

What is the point of this. They play different positions and are totally different players. This thread is ridiculous.

It is also funny to see TKF, who has been missing in action while the Knicks have been good and the Nuggets are losing these playoffs, pop-up in this thread. LoL!

I'll take Melo and his almost 30point per game average over Curry and his weak ankles any day.
