Dagger wrote:For such a "strong" man, Tyson has one of the weakest immune systems I've ever heard of. He's a non-factor this playoffs, same as last year. I see Kmart bodying up people, getting in KG's ugly mug, and stuffing fools like its thanksgiving, while Tyson tries to make people miss by gazing at them as they swoop by him for an uncontested lay-up. Too often this guy just decides not to close out, or that contesting a shot just isn't worth the trouble. As for his label as a leader, there are two leaders on this team- the verbal/ intellectual leader A.K.A. J-kidd and the leader by example A.K.A. Melo.

Tyson is a waste of 14 million, he can take his 3 20-rebound games and shove them, it doesn't mean anything unless you perform when it counts. Just look at Felton, pudgy boy is embarrassing all his haters with the hustle and focus it takes to win in the playoffs, that is the fire we need to succeed. Yeah, yeah, I know, "Tyson's won a championship, he knows what it takes to win"! Well excuse me for not bowing down, but when I watch Tyson Chandler I do not see a DPOY or a champion, I see an inconsistent defender living off his rep. Tyson is capable of playing great defense, but in the 2102-13 season his "interior presence" has been more of a myth than reality.

Who said he's a "strong" man? Shaq was a strong man. Tyson looks average in strength for an NBA center player.

But then you look at his performance and realize it is just a look. But no really Tyson is a very good player that is going through something. THis year he will more than likely get another series to show what he can do. However, looking at some of his playoffs stats throughout his career it doesn't look good. Despite his career numbers if he steps his game up this year that is all that matters now. Going forward I think he needs to be under 30 minutes and sleep in a bubble.

I agree that he is going through something. He seems almost reluctant to set screens at times. Not sure if getting bumped bothers his neck issue. He also seems to be moving slower. I am not convinced that it is a conditioning issue.

Bulging discs as some of you know can be a chronic annoyance to a debilitating condition that needs surgery, perhaps cervical fusion. If so this is a problem.

I'd say while the knicks have had a great season the next progression in the playoffs (assuming we finish the celts as we should)we need him to make a serious run at miami. If we can have a trifecta of a healthy camby, FluTyson and KMart all with limited minutes to preserve their fragile status would give us a big boast.

IN fact I think that is the very thing that can take us over the top.

But, our trifecta is old and fragile. Kmart has been a great gift but one that can disappear in a moment.

He finally broke his silence.
“I felt like I was just kind of blank,” Chandler said of his day. “I was kind of always dizzy and foggy. Everything was off.”

I guess even last Friday he was not back to normal.
“I didn’t think I was going to be able to play [Friday], even late [Friday] night,” he admitted. “I thought I’d be able to give my team a little something. I thought maybe by just being out there would help my team morale. But I wasn’t able to do much.”

I wonder if it's something other than the flu since he's seemed sluggish post-all-star break.

I don't know. Maybe he's been getting sick very often over the last couple of months?

Tyson looks awful. I mean we knew he had no offensive game but even his defense/rebounding is gone right now

Isn't that article from last year?

Weird how its almost exactly a year to the day that he last had flu.

At least he has 5 points on only 2 shots. The rest of the team has 23 points on 31 shots!
