Not trying to be a homer but if Melo knocks Durant out, it would be no crime. Melo has had an amazing season and it should also be noted. But same goes for Durant as if he is the one to make the team, who would complain?

Personally I really don't care. This is just another blog discussion to find a way to just bad mouth and knock Melo. Why don't you just knock it. Not talking about you Knicksfan

Durant's numbers are to strong to ignore and he led his team to 1st place in the west.

True

Just saying it isn't necessarily the slam dunk Lebron is. One could make the argument for both players and in terms of results, you could argue about injuries as a pro factor for Melo.

I would like Melo to get the recognition as the Knicks fan I am and because he did have an amazing season, but of course Durant had an amazing season too.

Hahaha I know. You get to wonder if Melo stole these guys' lunch or kicked their dogs. The attacks seem so personal.

Good thing we start our playoff season tomorrow!

Tyson who? Chandler for real. Well okay that's your opinion but I would go with someone else.

I love Tyson Chandler but he has been horrible this year and very inconsistent
There are many games in which he just doesn't even give the effort and is FAR from his play as DPOY last season
Yes, Tyson has not had much help and has injuries as well, but there are at least 10-13 centers that should deserve consideration before him

name them

Joakim Noah
Roy Hibbert
Larry Sanders
Marc Gasol
Dwight Howard
Demarcus Cousins
Al Jefferson
have all been better than Chandler this year.

If you want to say Gasol, I'll give you that and possibly Hibbert. Noah and Chandler are essentially a wash if you look at the numbers. Maybe you like Noah more because of defense - okay. I think the rest of that list is reach and still doesn't hit 10-13 names. But go for it, I suppose.

I thought this was a Knicks' fan site. These guys are just haters.

I just don't see any argument for Melo over Durant. Even if everything else was equal the fact that Durant played 81 games compared to 66 for Melo puts him over the top.

Yeab but if Dwight does to Durant what he did to Melo he probably is ejected and possibly suspended.

didn't he have 4 straight 20+ rebound games, what center has done that this season?

Which is awesome for those four games but says nothing about the other 78.

With the same theory, Jeremy Lin should get MVP considerations if you want to be selective like that for his run last year

Melo has had a very good year but let's not kid ourselves, he is nowhere as complete of a player in STAT's or W's when compared to Lebron/Durant...

Then why don't you just sit down and put on your Lebron hat and Durant hat and get some honey Nut cheerios and root for them. But as for me I'm going with Melo 1st team or 2nd team I don't care and the New York Knicks all the way!

Just because some of us believe that Lebron and Durant are better than Melo doesn't mean we hate Melo, are rooting against him and the Knicks, or are rooting for Lebron and Durant. And I haven't really seen anyone saying that Melo doesn't deserve 2nd team All-NBA just that he's not 1st team.

This is a no brainier 2nd teams for Melo. How can you not put LeBron and Durant over Melo. Lebron and Durant shot 50% from the floor played more games and their teams had better records.

As a player this year the rankings I have seen for MVP have Melo as high as 2nd and as low as 5th. If the all nba team is traditional and has a center he probably doesn't make it. If it is like the all star game then he should make it.

I tried to be nice, now you continue to give another low blow

Because I think Melo and Durant belong on the NBA #1 team, I should put my Lebron/Durant hat on?????
First and foremost, Get Melo's **** out of mouth, out of your ass, and out of your mind

AGAIN, I said, "LEBRON and DURANT deserve to be in at forwards over ANYONE at the F position"
There is no dispute at all with this and it should not need a reasoning if you follow the NBA at all
But you have to twist it words, give me low blows, and make it dramatic for no reason

P.S. Don't SPIT and I bet Melo's Bears are adorable but dumb like a rock

I dont see a center worthy of being first team this year with Dwight having a down year. The year Melo and his team had this year I think merits him a spot on the first team this year. Besides, the way the game is played today, no-one really plays set positions anymore. With that said, I say pick the best 5.

Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Lebron James
Kevin Durant

This very line up took the floor together in the Olympic games....

Could Melo be left off of All NBA 1st team
