What the heck is he meant to say if the media ask if the Knicks will win? "No"? He's supporting his team, it's no big deal.

NO more than Kenyon saying he going to protect Melo, or any other NBA player.

Lets remember, it not like he called a press conference, its part of their union obligation and the team to give access to the media and they ask them questions.

The difference is one can impact the series on the court, the other won't even suit up.

Oh please, you really think Boston is supper dupper motiviated because Amare said they will win? We know KG is a simple mind but really?

Boston wins its not because of quote posted by Amare.

for me this has nothing to do with Boston's motivation or whatever. It has to do with being on the court and actually being a part of what you are talking about.

1. How can you make guarantees for a playoff series you will not even participate in.
2. Last playoffs he made a complete fool of himself by slicing his hand open after punching a fire alarm glass casing.

yeah agreed. I dont even pay attention to what he says anymore, he's diminished his own undertone.

I am an amare fan, and I must admit... it is time for him to just shut up.. LOL

I used to be a huge Amare fan but how the mighty fall. He needs to just keep his mouth shut. If they ask him these questions, say he likes where we stand heading into playoffs and leave it at that. How hard is that? Enough with the guarantees, i can't wait until we can get rid of him.

+3 competes the tirfecta. Either play and produce the was you did your first year or STFU

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

But he was screwed either way- every year the media would ask the question, if he said yes, they'd ridicule him, then the one time he didn't they made a big deal of it, making out he didn't think they could.

he could have said something like "I feel very good about or chances." He didn't need to make any guarantees. After the 1st time, he should have learned (I think karma doesn't like such guarantees)

i know amare can't help that his knee is falling to pieces, that happens.. but the dude put his hand through glass last playoffs and that didn't help... what he should do is offer locker room support.. and stay out of the media..

Mark Messier made a guarantee with the rangers in a series with Devils were they were down 3-2. They won the next two and went on to stanley cup finals.

Maybe MSG thought so grand of the idea they implored Ewing to also make such proclamations.

What is he supposed to say....The C's are gonna punk us? Oh wait there's a difference in purpose between his prediction and Jennings. Oh wait you're a fan of Jennings, not so much Amar'e anymore so it makes sense.

PHENOMENAL logic

Here is what you say: "It will be a tough, gritty series, but I have confidence our guys will pull it out."

That was one of the greatest moments in sports history and I'm not even a hockey fan!

Messier = Messiah

The only problem with Ewing was that he predicted they'd win it all every season...
