True. Im a huge Ewing Fan but he made way too many guarantees back in the 90's.

But he was screwed either way- every year the media would ask the question, if he said yes, they'd ridicule him, then the one time he didn't they made a big deal of it, making out he didn't think they could.

he could have said something like "I feel very good about or chances." He didn't need to make any guarantees. After the 1st time, he should have learned (I think karma doesn't like such guarantees)

i know amare can't help that his knee is falling to pieces, that happens.. but the dude put his hand through glass last playoffs and that didn't help... what he should do is offer locker room support.. and stay out of the media..
