Three to the Head.
Once a Knick...I would hope they would let him sit on the bench.

Baron Davis? I would not want to see a lowlight like his knee imploding again...

His effort, experience, and understanding of the game should earn him a spot as an assistant for player's development for bigg's
He has the old school DEF/TOUGHNESS to go with his POST GAME in addition to the stretch 4/5 ability

Ball don't Lie

I hope we can get

James Singleton for the rest of the year *even if we cannot get the 2nd year deal*
Warrick
Domnic McGuire
Ryan Gomes/Leon Powe/Jamario Moon/Shawne Williams

if a BIG

Darko *played with Boston so knows some of their plays*
Sean Williams
Josh Boone
Nened Kristic

regardless they still need that 2nd year non guarantee. one more guy like that with Richardson and White and the Knicks could get a player in the 4 million plus range.

we are there already, you forgot about Brewer's trade exemption and the 150% rule
I am hoping for Brandon Rush, anyone you are targeting?

I don't know it depends on if they can keep JR. If they can keep JR, Cope, and Martin then I would tie Novak with the garbage contract and get one very good player or 2 good players. I would like Patterson and Fredette but Thompson and Freddette is ok. Maybe Williams and Ridinour but Williams is not the rebounder or scoring threat I would look for.

Then again maybe steal just complete the former Nuggets and get Affallo from Orlando and let them move on to their youth movement and add even more cap space. Not being able to sign and trade really hurts.

What kind of player is Rush. Is he a spot up shooter or a move guy. I really think this offense needs to add one move player to run off screens and thats why I would take a chance on Fredette if I can get another good role player included.

Last reports were that he was rehabbing with Shump and I know he has duties assigned to him from MSG's entertainment division but, I'd like to know how he's doing if anyone has heard. He's one of my favorite players.

Baron Davis
Kurt Thomas
Rasheed Wallace

They can join a 3v3 tourny after rehabbing and they still be very hard to beat outside of NBA competition
should be working with MSG in some way, I know Baron was although I wasn't sure if he was actually getting paid to do so
*I would not be surprised if Baron Davis came to NY because he was promised to be TAKEN CARE OF, and NYK continued to do so even with his injury but I don't see him returning as a player*

I see Rasheed Wallace as the most likely player to get a coaching job for development for bigs, especially in NY *COPELAND, if he indeed stays*
While Kurt Thomas is the typical coach as a journey man/tough defender, I know he said he wants to play another year or 2 but this injury might change things
Especially if he can work with

Starks, LJ, Houston, Baron Davis, Derek Harper, somewhere in the Knicks org

I honestly think a team will not give him a guaranteed deal and he should probably just take a position if the Knick's offer him one

Once a Knick, always will be traded as a Knick

Earl Baron
Q Richardson
James White
Brewer's exemption

now combine for over 6m in salary with 150% rule
Who will we target?
For one player or for 2?
Also no players that are S&T's since we are over tax, unless we can trade Tyson for trade exemption..
Question is who can we get back without giving up an asset or much outside of OKC's 2nd round pick next year, a reason why I would trade our own 1st round pick for 3 picks to Cleveland?

Just throwing out some names out there, while some will probably require a pick for incentive or an asset, some could be for nothing but salary

Brandon Rush? *hopefully Okc's pick is enough since he is rehabbing from injury*

Hickson *would require a pick for sure*

Ariza? 7m+ so we would have to give up another player without Novak/Camby since it would add salary, someone like Pablo/Copeland *not sure if have a 2nd year deal as a rookie*, which probably would not work for both teams

Barea/Ridnour? 4m+ in salaries
Mayo *if we cannot keep JR and will cost us a future pick as well*
Delfino

Aaron Affalo *decent player but over paid with new CBA and has a player option on 2015 which he probably will not opt out of which hurts our ability to sign players in FA class 2015 unless would take less money for a long term deal*
Carl Landry
Linas Kleiza
Diaw
Scola

MosGov
Tyler Hansbourgh
Shannon Brown
James Johnson
Bonner *not very interested*

Lower level salaries

Stimensa?
Dante Cunningham?
JJ's 3 is a charm and goes with our "Motto of Once a Knick..."
AR/Ivan Johnson/ Jeff Penderaph

Patty Mills/Gary Neal and some of Spur's backups G's

or maybe give up Camby or Novak and take a bad/horrible contract players like Charlie Villenova/Ben Gordon/Al Harrington with picks to absorb salary

wow, I read all that thinking you might answer the question

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

How are you getting the 6 mil number for those guys. How much is Q Rich getting. Someone said since he is a 10+ yr vet he gets 1.6 mill. I see the trade machine has him at his Orl contract numbers. IDK.

We lose a lot of toughness and intimidation now Kurt and Sheed are out. Shame we missed out on Birdman.

he's going to remain with the team in some capacity, but I hope you weren't banking on him suiting up again

all vet min range from about under 1m - 1.5m depending on how many years of exp

so 4 contracts of vet min (including Brewer's trade exemption) with 150% rule

it will be more than 6m of salary of all are combined together with Q's just he is a long vet we would closer to 1.5m so we actually would have more than 6m in salary combined with the 150% rule, depending on how we use it, like we can use it for probably 2 players on different teams which might not add up to how we want it and split it....

okay. another thing I just thought of is how will the extra 3 million be used that teams get each year.

if the Knicks could get under the tax they could do some things.

So my main thing here is I hope Marcus Camby will be available. We are going to need an extra big when we face Indy. Also, when is Amar'e back?

Disappointed Sheed is retiring, but I can understand it. Losing Sheed and KT is a big tough overall.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Hopefully we have enough bigs so that he's not a factor. QRich at least was a good NBA player at some point. Barron is a stiff; if we need him we ran into more injuries. :/

To be fair, if it gets to that and he can play a few games like he did on his first sting here, I won't complain. Dude was surprisingly good in his first cameo.
