PPG is unimportant. I give him credit for improving his scoring efficiency, though - that is something that merits praise.

Tell that to Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, David Robinson, Rick Barry, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Tiny Archibald, George Gervin, Bob McAdoo, Shaquille O'Neal

"Look at Melo, he doesn't have any cool patches on his warmup!"
"Oh, look Melo's got a stupid patch on his warmup!"

"How dare ye mention Melo in the same breath as Ewing!"
"Division Title? You're just as meaningless as Ewing was Melo!"

Lol some of these comments are pathetic.

Anyway congrats to OUR Knicks and Fans on the Division title, winning more than 50 games, Scoring title for Melo and up-coming 6th man for Jr Smith.

Haters will always hate.... someone has to do it.

Exactly, people act like it wasn't 13 years + that we had won the Division Title... like the last scoring champ the knicks had wasn't 28 years ago... complete BS to just dismiss this years accomplishments for this team and Melo

fair enough - in *this* case I do not agree, but I can't fault that opinion

I share your opinion and think the efficiency arguments matter significantly more when you are, say, Isiah Thomas looking to acquire, say, Q-Brick

Good...now Melo can sit his azz down and take some bully ball drugs.

We need him healthy if we plan to win it all.....

The NBA championship will be the Eastern Conference finals Champ.....

??isn't Melo already doing what you suggest

Not if Durrant was playing....Melo would've put in 30 plus minutes today, just to get that scoring title....and limp into the playoffs.

Now is has more time to rest.

this team hasn't won a title in 40 years why so much emphasis on scoring title?.. if some people are not impressed then so be it...

We enshrined Bernard King for his scoring but we really don't talk about what the knicks did while a knick.

Moobyites love a scoring title. Makes them feel good. To each his own.

ITs not the same thing it used to be. THere were many instinces when the star player won the title and fans followed that. Teams can sell tickets to see a guy average 30 pts a game.

I can't tell you how The Cards, Cub's or Giants did when Roids were the rage and Sosa, McGuire and Bonds had incredible years and broke home run records.

The lack of being impressed has nothing to do with the Knicks recent string of unsuccessful seasons....but has everything to do with personal likes and dislikes, I.E. those who are Sh*ting on Melo's accomplishments do not like him (period). You guys were clear with your dislikes of Melo in the past, why sugar-coat it now?

if that's the case, why did he sit out the last game knowing Durant was playing? Your theory either doesn't work or, I'm missing something.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

the last 6-10 games or so, he's been around 50% or something. His efficiency of late has been pretty unreal in April.

Because he essentially would have had to put together back-to-back 50pt gms.

You dont remember David Robinson dropping a career high 70 pts in the last game of the season to win the scoring title? That game, that effort speaks louder than any words could ever....

I still don't get it. IF Durant would need like two 50pt games, then Why would you say what you did above? I put the part in question in Bold.
