I wouldn't say Doghouse but I would say confidence in him isn't at an all time high.

maybe they signed QRich to unify the UltimateKnicks messageboard. I think we are all unified in our dislike for this move.

I honestly think this was as short term of a move as there is, however. Someone needs to give minutes next game because it looked like there were a bunch of guys who set career highs in minutes played. I don't want the supporting cast to over extend itself and get injured in the postseason. So if he can give 25 minutes next game and then never play another minute in an NYK uni, I will be happy

This team is is not so fragile where 1 game is going to make a difference of making or breaking them with exception to the Geezers. We have enough healthy bodies to put 8 guys on the court as the last game is totally meaningless.

This signing is PUKEFIED...really Q-Snitch the guy who was spilling all the secret stuff inside the locker room to the media along with Malik Rose and we bring this guy back. The only player in NBA history to be traded 3 times in an off-season....lol

I'll tell you why this is funny. QRich hasn't played all year. He used to report into camp fat after only a couple months off. He's going to be in terrible shape. This is waste of a signing.

You saying Grunfeld doesn't do due diligence?

I am desperate enough for a silver lining that I will come up with something crazy like that to justify it because I cannot stand QRich for the reasons you mention

Did he do his due diligence with Solly Jones? Let's just say I don't think QFats is going to have any impact unless its just to absorb some minutes tomorrow.

I don't remember Q-Rich being a defensive stalwart. I do remember him being touted a 3 point threat, but in the mold of Roger Mason, those skills rarely materialized. Sooooo, what's he gonna do?

The same Q-Snitch when he signed with the Heat said the Knicks don't play any defense and don't teach defensive principles and tried to show us up in a few games when we played them?

As far as due diligence goes.... isn't part of the reason he'd be brought in because we can't rely on a player that was brought in by Grunny in James White?

I doubt he will play at all in the playoffs but just for the heck of it, from what I remember he could be useful in our system.

He spaces the floor as a legit 3pt threat and he has good size to hold his own on switches. Good rebounder from what I remember.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Yeah, I think QRich gives you the small ball option if Lebron goes to 4 (and Pierce at 3 or 4), without using Melo on either of them. I don't think Q Rich is useful against Indiana or Lebron at the 3.

really - wow I was way off then. I thought (1) how he played versus how he got paid and (2) the BS he was involved with when he was here would be enough for anyone that followed this team duriong the worst times to be be a little sick seeing this. I physically feel ill thought that probably has more to do with CNN being on in the background

Solly Jones did exactly what he was supposed to: eat minutes and he did so nicely again Indiana. Q will have the same job, eat minutes and body up any SF/G that comes about.

You still haven't answered my question: You saying Grunfeld doesn't do due diligence? He prob just picked KMart out of a bucket too, right? Is that how you feel?

hope he's not brought in to be a shooter (hahaha). Q-Brick is a decent defender but, he can't hit the broad side of a barn. I remember at being pissed at him, not for signing with Miami but, for showing up in Miami slimmer than he ever looked for New York.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

no way you find a guy like Cope, who was playing ..not in a first tear league but, a 2nd tear league without performing due diligence. Just doesn't happen.

I mostly remember him for standing up to Marbury in the locker room when everybody was petrified of him at the time. Plus he kinda sorta looks like he is a tough player. At the end of the day he is a 30+% 3pt shooter and is a decent defender. Not that bad for a 3rd string SG/SF.

his 3point shooting was beyond bad for New York. I mean he was terrible...makes White look like a good 3point shooter. Has lost his athleticism but, he IS tough as nails, won't back down from anyone and is a good defender.

I don't know anything about Grunfeld, but if you're asking me if I think Grunwald has seen QRich before signing him, yes, I think he has. Has he seen him play in the NBA obviously not. I don't really see the point of your question. Are you saying that Grunwald hasn't made any mistakes? How about Camby for $3-4M per year for 3 years at 39 years old. The guy hasn't contributed anything all year. How about Brewer? He played ok for about 6 games before starting to shoot 19% from the floor (exaggeration alert). I'm not saying G-man hasn't done a good job. I like most of what he's done. But he's not infallable. And this signing I think was a waste of time.
