Not surprised, he sucked even for the last guy off the bench. There has to be someone out there that's playoff eligible and can contribute at least a little bit.

Im intrigued about who they are going to sign and which position?

Do you still look for a big man, with Tyson, Martin, Rasheed and probably Camby available next week? And Amar'e a possibility for a second round?

Do you sign a guard? Is there any good guard available? If we had wanted West here we would've already gotten him.

Does this mean Singleton solved his Red Tape issues?

Yeah, weird move. I think we want to test 6'10" Novak at center and maximize his minutes.

We're looking for someone in NBA shape. NBA DL? Can we call up Henry Sims? 16.4ppg / 8.7rbds. Hypothetically playing for our NBDL affiliate - so perhaps they teach similar defensive principles there?

Wasn't Sims waived by an NBA team and therefore wouldn't be available for the playoffs?

He had a 10 day contract with the Hornets so he can't sign with anybody else for the playoffs.

Delonte West would be very useful as an insurance policy. The bigs available are trash.

It's a tough time... unless they're playing in a league right now, the players are likely to be out of shape.

Stephen Jackson was just waived. It'd be like getting an "old-old" JR Smith. Championship pedigree, but it could upset the delicate balance of our mix.

If anything, we're very specifically looking for DEEEP bench big man to replace KT40.

What the waiver suggests as other have alluded to is that the team is optimistic about the health of Chandler/Camby/Wallace... and perhaps even Amare.

My guess is they got the contract with James Singleton figured out- he was clearly the first choice.
