Im going to guess he doubled his money on his buy in. Not big money for him. But don't forget the "blueprint for greatness" has two meanings:One is for fans
ONe is the the owners.
The Russian has killed it buying the team at discount and moving it.
He is not "selling" but "divesting".
My guess is Jay-z one day will get into the ownership game.
I would not be laughing cuz Nets value has soared!
The fact we have our first division title puff your chests out and swelling with pride?
Get real. Nets won before they even played a game in BKN!
Enjoy the knicks and don't get hit by the Kharma going forward.
19 years since first place, 40 form a chip is nothing to be turning your nose up on anyone.
Actually I kinda think it is. Knicks history is pathetic, yes. Last I checked 2 championships is still greater than 0 for the Swamp rats. And no I will not count the ABA, that's like Jackie Moon territory!

Your deflecting. Swamp rats came into theleague in 1977.
That was then, this is now. Deal with it. Your looking at it like a child, the pricipals who have equity are making some serious coin.
They not in Jersey anymore.
Lol I thought Prokhorov wanted to take over the city? What happened to the 5 year plan to win a championship? As far as I can tell, their core 4 strategy fizzled out. The $300 million backcourt a bust. Jay-Z hedged his bets and jumped ship to pursue more profitable venues.
I'm looking at this as a realist. If looking at things realistically and through cold-hard reality is child like, I'm a big kid at heart.
P.S. - It's ok to like the ole Black and White. I think Joe Piscopo needs to add to his dwindling fan base.

What happened?
They got the 4th seed. Basically they have had a better season then the knicks did in the last 13 years!
They are investing in 2nd round picks and have won 48-49 games this season. pretty damn good.
Knicks had a better season, I take it your happy.
They have more than doubled the value of the franchise to move. Jay-z moving forward into another venture.
I read some comments that some are writing they feel his is a sort of turning his back on brooklyn. Crazy, the dude made (for him) a small investment and was able to use his marketing muscle. Basically Nets got most of it from free the way I see it. The rebranding was in part from Jay-Z end either from him or his group.
What happened to the promise? They still got a few years to make good but we know when anyone in the NBA makes a promise its just marketing noise.
Relish in their failure or not is your biz, but Prokhorov is making some serious money by moving and rebranding.
Knicks excellent season took a lot of steam out of the hype.
I don't know Nalod, I think you're wrong about Jay-Z:
http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/brooklyn-nets/post/_/id/9828/is-jay-z-dissing-nets-fans
Jay-Z, the soon-to-be ex-minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets, has broken his silence ... well, cryptically, in a rap song released Thursday. Jay-Z must sell his stake in the Nets -- a .067-percent (1/15th of one percent) share that is reportedly worth $350,000 -- to become a sports agent.
Here are some lyrics from his newest track, “Open Letter.”
Woulda brought the Nets to Brooklyn for free
Except I made millions off it, you f------ dweeb
I still own the building, I’m still keeping my seats
Y'all buy that b-------, you better keep y'all receipt.
For the record, dictionary.com defines “dweeb” as a slang term for “nerd,” “wimp.”
Jay-Z does say that he’ll still keep his stake in the Barclays Center, as well as his courtside seats.
But I don’t think he’ll be wearing Nets paraphernalia to games anymore.
Pretty obvious he's taking shots at "The Russian Dweeb".
Sorry to burst your bubble, Nalod, but the face of the Nets just turned his back on them, burned the bridge then queefed on their lawn.
Nolad been going hard for the Nets for some time now. After starting 20 threads about the Nets in the reacent past, the Knicks were never in danger of losing the city after all. Smh. Sad news for you I guess. Keep holding on to all of these theories that make them relevant in your mind if you'd like. Not gonna change anything tho.
Yeah, it was like two threads , and yeah most of it was about business which it appears is a subject most of you don't want to discuss.
Nalod never posted a prediction about the nets record. I discussed Roster moves and thought Bropez would have a good season.
I'd say more mention of these posts have existed then the actual posts themselves.
Talking business is usually reserved for adults.
