I agree this thread is unnecessary but when the Knicks were slumping earlier there were threads about the Nuggets and even about Lin so it does go both ways.

Lin for good reason. Nugget threads are just annoying

Knicks definitely got the better end of the deal. Not only that. Gallo at this point can be called an injury prone player.

And when we weren't playing that well the same poll was presented by the "usual suspects"

Gallo is known to be injury prone player , but the love for him to succeed from his faithful here has blinded them to this fact.

Posting when a team struggles or succeeds is different from posting the day after an ACL tear! Wilson's playing well and they got picks and a lot of it was addition by subtraction at the time too. Before the injury, this would have been a lopsided poll on Denver forums too and it will be again as long as Gallo has a normal return in a year. The biggest downside was how much cap space we tied up in Melo, and I'll believe that unless he proves me wrong when the games matter.
Right now he's in a great streak. If you take a huge volume of shots, just by chance, you'll have some awful and some great streaks. His FG% for most of March was in the .300s.

You obviously are interested only in hearing others validate your views. That's a good approach for shrinking your knowledge base.

Nope. I wouldn't even post here if I were only interested in hearing supporters of sabermetrics. There are other forums for that.

He missed 108 games his first four seasons. That averages out to over 25 games lost to injury per year and includes a 66 game season. Coming into training camp this year he had back and shoulder issues and there was speculation that he would miss time from those issues. He didn't. What was great about this year was that it appeared he had finally beat the injury bug. Guys tear their acl but you can't miss the number of games gallo has and not be considered injury prone.

Playa like on stage while a hot concert is going on and steps to the microphone and says: IS EVERYONE HAVING A GOOD TIME?

No shyt.

Got the homers raging hard in the middle of a win streak with an obvious statement!

Nobody is pissing on cornflakes this morning but this thread is not about the knicks and its win streak, its about playa glowing on the blood of Gallo's acl and thinking the trade was Gallo for Melo! Don't forget the swap of picks and our no. 1 in '16.

If this was just about the knicks you'd just be happy like the rest of us about the play on the court and the record.

Good trades are when both teams win.

Its obvious Denver is doing real well in the aftermath of trading melo for many reasons and not all related to the trade.

As are we!

Playa's delusion need to be reminded to "slow down son, we ain't won nothing yet"!

Are we having fun? You bet.

Are we having more fun because Gallo tore his acl? Only playa. Basking in the glow of others pain is never cool. One would think at the very least after 40 years of NOT winning a chip one would be more humble about a nice run.

Being a homer is no excuse for acting badly.

There was never ever any question we made the right move and did not overpay. It becomes more clear everyday. The guys we traded just weren't that good.

Look i liked the trade but saying that guys like gallo and chandlers arent good is not true. both guys are very solid players. Their only issues are injury related

Gallinari - Injury Prone
Chandler - Injury Prone
Mozgov - Bench Warmer
2014 First Round Pick

If we get Mozgov this summer for cheap the deal is even more lopsided.

wait, if we are keeping all our assets?

1) who do we sign with the FA money that Eddy Curry was expiring with?
2) do we move Felton for a pick cause Denver did, and continue to stockpile on assets that DW always did...
3) Are we also in the Deron/CP3/D12/Harden/Rudy Gay conversations
4) Do we still get Lin? Does Linsanity still happen? Does it still die?
5) Does Dantoni stay? Does Walsh? Does AR stay for 3year 6m or do we get a draft pick out of him? NOVAK would NOT be here for that price...

stop bringing up Gallo vs Melo, it was NOTHING TO DO with 1 or 2 players vs Melo, it was the package we gave up which was half our team/future assets, it was something we HAD LEVERAGE ON had Melo cared less about his brand name and thought long term for the Knicks if he would just say "I would only sign an extension with..."

I tell you what though, those Knicks would achieve nothing WORSE in play off's vs what we achieved in played offs the past 2 years...
Throw Tyson Chandler and Jeremy Lin on and JR Smith to that squad, which be much better than what we have right now to build for now or the future vs a 2 year window...
Oh maybe we would be able to keep Martin, JR Smith, Copeland who whoever we wanted vs TWO 20m+ salaries with Tyson Chandler

I'm not so bothered about the players, but the picks really bother me, especially the 2016 first round swap option- could come back to bite us.

But I'll be consistant- I hate it when people come on these boards and gloat when something bad happens to the Knicks (like that time we were struggling and someone started the thread about Jeremy Lin and how great he did in one game), so I think this thread is in bad taste.

I get people wanting to shout about it when they feel their views are validated, but we all know how s*** you feel when something bad happens to a player you like- imagine if someone had posted a "we should have drafted Kenneth Faried" thread after Shump went down with his ACL.

Shumpert took a big step backwards in terms of development and I expect him to have a great off season in training/work outs as he will come back much better
He is still a shell of his former self while he would have been much better at this point if he was able to train last summer in the off season, he has a great work ethic
I agree it just isn't fair to say that about Faried, especially since the draft was prior to the lock out, which if we drafted him if it was not for the amnesty, we would not be able to add a legit Center
I was happy on draft night and I am still happy with Iman here
If anything I wonder how what if we were able to draft Vucevic instead and if we would have kept him or unload him for a big name like Philly did and a move NY tends to do

C- Amare
PF- Faried

1- would be a horrible combination of DEFENSE and would get killed every night
2- the reason why Faried was not considered at the draft while we were missing a PG/SG/C after the trade for Melo along with almost every position for bench players, and rightfully so

Whats the point about going back and forth between homer vs hater regarding the knicks denver trade. Lets get through the playoffs then fire away.

In the meantime feel free to discuss more relevant issues. Like why did we let Lin walk for Raymond Bernard Felton, Jr.

Both teams won the trade, i have yet to see why that is an issue.
