Never like to see a guy get a serious knee injury. Everyone doesnt come back to pre-injury level.

Hopefully, he doesn't rush back. He hasnt been the most durable guy throughout his career.

If it's not severe great but if he's going to miss time, I hope he waits until he's completely healthy to come back and come back with a mental approach to adjusting his game/work ethic/off-season regimen. I believe many of his injuries has a lot to do with style of play which he isn't consistent at. He needs to develop a solid base game and fine tune it until he's a handful to guard every night. He's managed to come back from all his injuries and he is still very young without tons of mileage on his body.

very good points... he he likes to draw fouls, but that comes with contact, hitting the floor and potential injuries.. not saying you can play your game in a bubble, but everything doesn't have to be so herky jerky and high risk.. as you said, work on using your advantage, your size, handle, work on a post game, and use your driving ability as another weapon/ option.... as you said, be more consistent at one phase of the game..while not compromising your versatility.

Unfortunately an ACL tear has been confirmed but no other damage. I guess he'll go back to being a perimeter player next season when he returns- should get his 3pt shot back to what it used to be. Injuries suck.

Gallo is out, and I read Parker might have some leg problems with SAS.

The west just changed overnite.

Gallo was big part of what they are doing. Watch some games and Gallos penetratoin skills did create a lot of movment. Things not in the box score.

Sometimes special things can happen to teams but you need health.

by your logic anyone with an acl tear would have to limit himself to being a perimeter player.

also, just because d'antoni used gallinari as a floor spacer does not mean that he wasn't a slasher before he cam to the knicks. because he was-- a slashing and driving player.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

denver is going to have a very tough time now without gallinari. in the playoffs you need to be able to draw fouls and he is the best that squad had at doing that. and he was a great glue guy. geez he was right on the cusp too. it's sad.

I wasn't saying it as a bad thing, as it means he gets to improve his shooting and it reduces his risk of injury while he's getting back to 100%. Look at the way Shumps game has changed this season. Obviously further down the line he'll go back to slashing and driving.

That's annoying- I was looking forward to some great western playoff series. There will still be some good ones, but I'd rather watch teams at full strength battling it out.

ok my bad. obviously you want to see a rose or a shumpert or a gallinari get back to their respective games but not be compromised by being rushed to come back.

Papabear Says

Sorry to see Gallo go down. Hope he recovers quickly. I know The Knicks had their share of injuries. But we remained positive and with those injuries we remain competitive which shows one man can't stop the show. And even Melo was out and we remained competitive. With that being said Denver have a 14 man roster and I'm sure someone will step up just like the Knicks had to do. No excuses. This is the NBA.

My right knee is hurting me since last week, if I stop posting you guys know what happened. 82 games is too many for me to sit in my chair and watch the knicks.

Injuries are a part of the NBA season, it was so unfortunate when we had them and people started bashing the knicks brass for getting older players.

Gallo was a young guy who always seem to get hurt and miss games, so even though he's the leading scorer on the Nuggets team they are still so deep, they shouldn't miss him that much. They play pass oriented George Karl style they should still produce i would think.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

So sad to see this - Gallo is a good player and hope he recovers quickly.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
