Novak isn't a good 1 on 1 defender at all but he actually understand where he needs to be in help positioning. He's one of the smartest defenders on the team and his length helps him occasionally when guarding the ball. I understand he's easy to point out as the worst but when you break it down there's no question it's Stoudemire. He is just as bad of a ball defender as Novak(maybe worse idk) but his defense off the ball is light years behind Novak. I mean the guy doesn't even block shots anymore.
Amare is playing better help D now then he has in the past, Deosn't seem like much cause he doesn't do it consistant but there has been some slight improvement.
Synergy wants to say Novak is a good defender cause he makes guys take bad shots and draws his man into tyson or camby who's waiting in the paint. first of all tyson isn't much of a shot blocker and camby hardly plays, not to mention that novak played more with amare off the bench (who's an awful help defender) then he does with tyson..
