Yes, we've had injuries to his backups but that is why you pick up more players and use them. It was very risky bringing in old guys to back up Chandler and it blew up on us, at least so far. Hopefully Chandler can get better but 1 week isn't exactly what is needed to heal a bulging disk - it's a very very touchy thing and knowing our medical staff it might be a rupture and they just ain't saying anything.Sheed isn't going to play for us again this year, as well as Thomas it looks like. We should try to pick up someone for later on but till then we are going to go small ball.
There must be somebody somewhere that can help us out. Moz would look great in a Knicks Uni right now, but I bet we get him next year.
Dude averages 32 minutes a game. Come on man.
He is 5 more than when at Dallas. He needs to get back down there, guy has been in the league for a while.
Where are we going?
Didn't the Mavs have Brendan Hayward backing up Tyson? The Knicks don't have that luxury. 32 minutes for a guy at his age with his contract and talent seems about right.
5 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it's 20% more than what Dallas was doing. The coach likes to play small ball anyway. Luxury? There is a reason our team is decimated. There is a reason that now Melo is sitting out. I know the coach is in a tough spot and glad it's not me, but many have said to be careful with Tyson before.
Earlier in the year and last year as well, MANY fans were commenting that Tyson was playing too many minutes. He had injury problems in the past, the 2 years prior to Dallas he only played around 50 games a year. Dallas then cut his minutes and he was super healthy.
Each player is different and we need to be careful with Tyson. I think there is a reason why people sometimes say he isn't into games. With the way he likes to play, he just can't keep that energy up all game imo.
Sometimes less is more.
