Best case for the surgery is 6 weeks (took him 9 weeks last time). 6 weeks puts him 3 days after the season has ended. When he came back last time it took a few weeks to get going.

I suppose you can look on it that we played our best at the start of the season while he was out, but I'm depressed today.

We also got the worst GM is sports history in isiah thomas that set our team back a decade. Now we have injuries to star players at the worst possible time. We cant win

Just once I'd like us to be at full strength in the playoffs.

2012- Amar'e goes out on the run up, cuts hand during; Lin goes out on the run up; Shump tears ACL; Baron Davis tears ACL and MCl

2011- Billups gets injured first game, Amar'e wrecks back in the second

Before that didnt someone get injured that time we got to the playoffs with Marbury? Then there was the Camby kidnapping saga, Ewing getting injured 2 playoffs in a row etc etc. So fed up.

Hmm Steve Popper tweeting he thinks the Knicks are lying- said swelling in the knee is not what debridement is for (its for cartridge/bone).

Man that blows. Credit to Stat for all the hard work he's put in to come back and improve his game. He could have just coasted and cashed his checks. Even if he gets back before the playoffs chances are he wont be playing like he is now. Time to expand the rotation I guess.

The problem we have is that we have no youth. lets be real the Knicks put all their chips on the table when they acquired melo and got guys like camby(a bust) and kidd(started off good but is becoming a bust). Amare is a great offensive player but his knees are like a 70 year old.

Lin was a young player- didnt stop him from getting injured.

It might be time to retire. Of course it wont save us any money off the cap but maybe the league can give us an injury exception.

This guy is done. He can't stay healthy. I didn't think it would happen again so quickly but this is it for me. I don't want him on this team anymore.

Too bad. He works so hard. I remember reading about what he went through with his eye problems to get back. This makes KMart even more valuable. Hopefully someone steps up while he is out.

Id rather start over and start to rebuild. Lets face it we we were gonna rebuild anyway after next year. We put all our chips in and failed. The second we didnt get lebron we were screwed.

It was a pretty flawed plan. Kind of like spending your last hundred dollars on lottery tickets because the payoff is a record high. I love Amare but there was a reason Phoenix wouldn't resign him and there was a reason his contract couldn't be insured.

Wait, you actually think James Dolan will rebuild again? Maybe after the next 10-15 years of awful play he will consider it again. Right now he's all in with Melo and will trade for any awful contracts to continue to try and win a championship with this core (and this coach). Judging by Glen Grunwald's contract negotiation style (throwing $16 million at Novak and 3 years to Camby and Kidd) then you should not be surprised to see more bad deals.

I agree. Obviously Walsh's original plan was lebron but he probably figured that if he didnt sign any top FA from thet 2010 class the fans would kill him lol

Whos out there to sign that would fill the holes in the team?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.
