Eliminate basketball from the conversation and to what's best for the athlete's body. If doc says rest will help and alleviate the swelling you shut him down for two weeks. It's not a debate. Playoffs aren't here yet. Get the team and players healthy

If he can't play, he can't play.

F.T.S. about him risking his body to play a regular season game when we need everybody healthy for the longer ron, especially Melo.

Last year Linsanity came on the scene in Melo's absence and this year Amar'e is making a strong start to something like an Amar'esanity or Amar'e's Great Resurgence

so I think we can afford to sit this guy Melo for a while so he can be fully healed for the playoffs

Melo should rest and give it all in the playoffs.

We just need to be careful with Stat and hopefully get Camby back (is that even possible at this point? Dude has been the most disappointing signing since Eddy Curry).

Okay so now he's missed the thunder game, has fluid in his knee and Woodson said he'd 'eventually' be back, and he has the Knicks medical staff kiss of death label of "day to day", when do people think he'll be back? Is it another Lin/Amar'e/Sheed situation? Or are the media just stirring things?

Q. smackedd - Is it another Lin/Amar'e/Sheed situation?

A. It's just another day in the lonely life of an MRI apparatus.

Q. are the media just stirring things?

A. You funny. next question.

Q. smackedd - when do people think he'll be back?

A. Kiss me, I'm Irish

Melo questionable for Utah

Killer west coast swing approaches.

There will be 25 shots on the table to share.

There must be defense.

I guarantee you if this injury isn't bad he will be ready before Denver. My guess is that he wants to put up 50 that game.

it looks like we'll be facing either boston or chicago at this rate. that is not good at all.

facing either boston or chicago is going to be a much bigger challenge.

you have to rest anthony insofar as we are cementing either 2nd or 3rd seed as they are both cementing the 6th and 7th seed.

give others in the rotation some significant minutes so they feel better prepared for the playoffs.

worry about the persistent lack of chemistry later.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Meanwhile Kobe is playing with burning tingling sensations in his elbow where it numbs out during a game then spikes pain throughout his arm and doing teams dirty....

Meanwhile Deron Williams is playing with bone fragments in his ankle and picking up his play taking shots and various other treatments.

Melo IMO just seems personally discouraged and is coming across very Marburyesque. Remember when Marbury started beefing with Isiah and he went and had exploratory ankle surgery without the team knowing?

Ridiculous post.

We're talking about the same guy who cited how bad his elbow/arm was hurting him when he shot 5-24 against the Raptors but then in a weeks time at the All-Star game he's putting up shots and dunking almost as if he's playing in a playoff game...

But wait get this...

Supposedly his knee has been bothering him for weeks and he even had a hush MRI done...If that's the case why didn't he cite his knee as the problem as to why his shooting was off against the Raptors or why his shooting was down in February in general. Thus far out of the horses mouth I've heard him point to his diet and his arm for his poor play not his knee.
