What's his defense like? I remember he used to play well a few seasons ago with the rockets.

Alex Kennedy said on his twitter that A source close to Brooks said he'll take his Tim deciding which team to sign with. Someone should remind him the deadline for playoff eligibility is tonight!

Would be a nice pick up, but if he's smart he'll sign with the Rockets- played his best basketball there, good system for him and they really need a back up PG.

I don't think his defense is good at all so he'll fit in with the rest of our backcourt. He is a good offensive player though and we're playing three guys, Kidd, Prigioni, and Shumpert, who give us almost nothing on either end. We could give him all of Prigioni's minutes and cut Kidd's minutes down to 10-15 mpg and he could be our main backup guard along with JR. I just wish he were taller so we could get away with playing him at SG from time to time.

Can he play on the playoff roster if he is signed after the waiver period? I think he would be a good signing. Also, I am down with signing Delonte. Would love for him to put his finger in LBJ's ear in the eastern conference finals.

I've just read up on this, and a few writers are saying he can sign with any team between now and the playoffs and still be eligible.

Because Aaron Brooks was waived today, he'll be eligible to play in postseason. He has until final day of regular season (April 17) to sign.

The Knicks may consider Aaron Brooks as well. They've been linked to him in the past and were trying to land a PG before the trade deadline.

I'm a fan of this.

Felton is our starter but how's the rotation go between Kidd, Pablo and Brooks? Who's the backup PG, 3rd string, 4th string?

I didnt know it worked like that but with this report and the other one that said he was gonna take his time making his decision, I dont wanna get too excited.

EDIT: Apparently its cause hes actually getting bought out. Also, I dont think he gets a lot of playing time here so I dont see him choosing us.

Truthfully, if I were him I'd probably choose Boston, a potentially good team that desperately needs a PG; OKC, he'd be the main backup to Westbrook and they could play together with Westbrook at the 2; Chicago where he'd pretty much become their go-to guy on offense until/unless Rose returns; or Miami over NY. But I do believe that we offer a good opportunity to get solid playing time on a good team and give him a platform to get a larger contract in the offseason.

Aaron Brooks will likely sign with the Houston Rockets, league sources tell Y! Sports.
