I do think Phil can get more out of Melo but with Phil its not really about the star players despite the obvious, his teams were about the other players. Jordan and Kobe were Melo type players beofre he molded them but it was about the rest of the roster that made them work in harmony. Amare and Tyson don't really fit.

We can argue it all day but I think the window for phil is closed. As fans we keep calling for a new coach and a new hope.

I will admit, MSG works us pretty good in to believeing.

Reality is: 9 coaches over 12 years. Van Gundy succeeded because he was here a long time as assistant and had the trust and respect of his players.

He bailed but at least he did not mail it in.
