What makes us deadly is the ability to throw Gus in of the bench that can contribute just as well as three starters. That take the pressure of guys because if they get in foul trouble another guy will come in to hold it down. That's why Chandler has been passive so gee cab stay in the game.

How about
OKC
Spurs(play faster, great deep offensive system)
CLippers

All these teams run better offenses than the Knicks.

Problem is the Knicks don't have an identity on either end

Indy & Chicago at least have the identity of playing elite defense and moving the ball

Vogel & Thibbs are 2 great young coaching minds and coach their teams strengths

Whereas Woodson & Dantoni are STUBBORN

Yes I was talking about the eastern conf outside of Miami, not the western conf

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think one of these guys Martin Camby or Wallace could help the defense in the playoffs if carmelo is moved to 3 full time. This thing that the game slows down is false--this is not 1995 anymore. Miami avg 104 against us in their 3 home games--that is a big number. The bottom line is we do not have enough offense and we have no idea who will even be able to play.

I hope these guys can guard PGs cause with all the switching we do they'll end up doing so

If we continue to play the way we are with out VERY TOUGH schedule, we can fluctuate from 2nd to 8th in the East

Felton cannot stay in front of PG's
Kidd cannot stay in front of STARTING PG's or/and most SG's
Iman is just not there yet and is a big mismatch at SF

If Martin is close to what he was last season with the Clipper's, I think he is our best starting PF defender that compliment's Tyson Chandler
Whether 1v1 or a help defender he is undersized but mobile and athletic, he can challenge a shot or/and sacrifice his body for charges like JJ has done
Offensively, he can hit the 12 footer, but more importantly he set's good picks *off the ball*, and makes good cut's with the ability to finish

I would like to see

Felton
Iman or JR Smith with JR defending the opponent's PG's instead of Felton
Melo
Martin
Chandler

Amare
Novak or Copeland not both
James White
Iman or Smith
Pablo/Kidd *let Kidd rest for another week or 2*

cut Kurt Thomas or James White and add a G like Pargo that can stay in front of G's/ solid defender/ penetrate/hit a wide open 3pointer
Sadly without Brewer, James White becomes our only real SF, outside of Melo

We just don't need so many old PF/C with

Sheed
Camby
Kurt Thomas
Martin

Chandler
Amare

The offense is a chuck fest when Melo is the only scorer out there.

That is why Amare needs to start even if its for Tyson

We have battle tested vets. They know when to turn it on. Only around 30 games left.

Chandler/Camby
Martin/Amare
Melo/Smith
Kidd/Shumpert
Felton/Prigioni

Team just needs to get healthy by April.

Excuses.. healthy ?,

I agree with you, but the key word there is healthy. If they are healthy then ECF here we come. I would also like to add the the 3 headed PG monster has to get their Nov/Dec swagger back or they can get as healthy as they want and they won't go anywhere.

We have enough offense when the ball is moved and defenses has to actually run around a defend us.

What we have seen lately is a team relying on bad habits because the older vets on the team aren't mentally stable to calm the other players down.

Briggs go look at the playoff scores in the east last year outside of Miami

ok playa if that is the case then teams like the bulls and pacers are more physical, mentally tougher, and more talented than us.. they also defend better.. if you think it about half court and slowing it down, we still are behind the 8 ball because those two teams play that style better than us.. heck throw brooklyn in as a team that may be trouble..

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

Wrong while the game today is played at a faster pace than back in the day during portions of an era overall the game still slows down in the Playoffs.

Maybe you should expand your analysis just a tad more...Last Year Miami averaged 97.3ppg during the playoffs during the reg they averaged 98.5ppg, we allowed 94.7ppg during the regular season last year and in the playoffs we allowed 96.8ppg..For the record Miami improved their team D in Points Per Game Allowed by 2pts which suggests the games slows down just a tad.

You should never use our team as a means to establish what a trend is.....

Or its just random variation. We're only talking about 1 less FG a game.

chandler was out of high school and has endured a lot of wear and tear. he is an old 30.
camby is old and breaking down.
martin is old and has had bad knee history.
amare back, knees, eyes also an old 30 like tyson.
kidd is 40 years old and breaking down.
prigioni is 35 years old.

smith is a knucklehead and shoots too much.
felton can't orchestrate to save his life and is a ****ty defender and shoots too much.
melo doesn't know how to play for others or with others and shoots too much.

ladies and gentlemen YOUR NEW YORK KNICKS!!!!!

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Knicks are trying to win now. It's not that hard to comprehend.

All those guys you listed will be gone in 2 years anyway. Luckily for us LaMarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, and Jeremy Lin will be free agents summer 2015 when we will have cap space.

I don't understand all the doom and gloom. Carmelo will only be 31 in 2015 and his game isn't predicated on hops. So I dont expect us to be tanking. I expect us to retool and get back at it.
