As a knick fan might we consider how many coaches we have had since JVG had an epiphany and walked out the door?

And how many fans thought by making a change that the in fact "change" would yield some sort of better tomorrow?

What about this: Knicks were built to not really win "NOW" but to get off to a good start because the phuch head dolan fears the Nets and the buzz that was coming and the only way beat it was to start strong.

I did harp preseason that this was my fear that dolan had installed a directive similar to my paranoid concept and if the play on the court tells a story, it is certainly playing that way.

A veteran team can jump out early but sustained is not really possible? We are deficient in so many area's.

Don't whine about injury because you can't really count on this roster to stay healthy all year long.

We got starphuched again. This is not on woodson, or MDA, Isiah (the coach), Larry, Herb, Lenny, Chaney or JVG! 8 coaches in 12 seasons. 4 GM's in 12 seasons. Get the picture? We can bitch and moan about Woodson now, as we did about MDA and the others but really its about the organization.

Jerry Buss just died and we are reminded of the wonderful run he had with that franchise. there are 29 other teams that have not been as successful as them in the last 30 years but we got to read about wonderful owner/player relationships and basically they have had only 2 GM's in that time. West and Kupchak. Kupchak went to get his masters degree while playing and when he retired from playing was assistant GM for a long long time before being promoted. Continuity. Grunny is a good dude but Dolan didn't even let Walsh pick his successor whom he wanted Mullin. Grunny was Isiahs assistant.

Im afraid my favorite team organizational process is not conducive to success.

MElo might be the "Greatest" knick since ewing and many fans find all kinds of starphuch goodness in that fact but how that translates on the court has not been all that great. 18-5 was great. Take that away and I think we are a .500 team over the last two full seasons?

Im a fan, I root for the success of this team but really unless you get caught up in some kind of Moobyistic NYKmentality circle jerk euphoric wet dream the "SOMBER" reality is more the norm than the 18-5 mirage.

Its why some fans gravitate to the youthful prospects that is the Rockets and Nuggets. Its the blueprint for OKC and its pretty good. We followed Miami's blue bring by trying to collect names. Our big three is Tyson-Melo-Amare. We improved but by how much? We did not do a very good job.

Blame Walsh? MDA? Isiah? Layden? Woodson? Grunny? Dolan?

I blame The Knicks!

Exactly how many coaches have to come and go. I blame the Knicks organization for this. Woody is a decent coach. What is going on here and it seems is that accountability has stopped.

Woodson a good coach but the accountability has stop

That sounds contradictive

This BS he's doing was a lot of ppls fear..

Having kidd finishing games over amare is so fustrating, I wanna smack woodson one good hard slap in the back his head..LIKE WAKE THE FCKK UP and pay attention to the bs moves your making..

Actually it's a fair point. The real concern is whether Woodson has been "figured out". We need to let the season play out, but we're simply calling for some adjustments. At times, Woodson's recent comments after games have been less than savory. That's all.

Don't get me wrong, I agree adjustments has to be made...But let's not forget why we all now have high hopes for this team in the playoffs..I think what made us tough in the beginning was JKidd making the extra pass which became infectious and him knocking down the open shot that Fields missed the last three years..But in terms of figuring out I don't know about that...The team hasn't played as hard and their defense is poor...That's on the coach...

I agree. I hope he can adjust. Some things have been said for a month or longer here and he hasn't made the adjustment yet and never acknowledged on any interview. Not a good sign.

Well how much of that has to do with the limited minutes he has to play Amare and Shrump ...Also all the injuries can't go unnoticed..Something has to change tho..He is being paid a lot do money to figure it out ...

Adjustments to what?

Athletic teams are going to give us problems. This is nothing new. We arent that athletic at any position.

Knicks are dependent on guys filling their roles. We NEED Shumpert to give us what he gave us last year.

We need JR Smith to get going early and often.

We need Chandler to be aggressive nightly.

We need Melo's jumper to fall.

Woodson is NOT an inflexible coach.

Atlanta wasnt going anywhere with Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Al Horford. Doesnt matter if Phil Jackson was coaching there. To be honest I was amazed how Atlanta CONSISTENTLY made the playoffs under Woodson when I didnt think they were that good.

I have seen them in person multiple times. They blow leads like crazy.

Who's "we all"? Right now, and I'm sure I'm no alone, I'm not even sure we can make it out of the 1st round at this rate.

Obviously it was competitive enough. Joe Johnson and Horford were the truth. Josh Smith used to make my head hurt. Everyone else was meh.

Also, in the 5 years he was coach they made the playoffs 3 times, once as an 8th seed with a 37-45 record. And, if he's such a great coach, how come they haven't fallen off with Larry Drew and losing two of their best players, Joe Johnson and Crawful.

Your Google abilities don't work? Just google the quotes and you'll find it. Here: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1233403. Maybe you should try this before accusing people. Just some friendly advice.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
