Kidd just might get mad and really start drinking Maybe Smith is back in the clubs Maybe Melo is having marriage problems

LOL, sometimes they play that way but this time I think they're being a little tough on Kidd, for this game anyway. Can't blame anyone for the hits he took the last few games though. Smith had just a good a look or better since he can get airborne faster and jump higher. Both their defenders were the same distance from them.

Quoted for Truth.

And we all understand that Shumpert's returning from ACL surgery, we're not trying to throw Shumpert into the line of fire but at the same time, Shumpert has started all 14 games, but at the SF position. Lets slide Carmelo back to his natural postion of SF while moving Shumpert down to the 2G position. At this point, I'm willing to start either J.R Smith or even James White at 2G if Woodson's not ready to slide Shumpert down to the 2G position.

All of this is a moot point, but we need Jason Kidd on the bench sooner rather than later. During Kidd's previous 10 games he's only put up 21 points. Hasn't scored a single point during his previous 2 games. Only 3 points during his previous 3 games. Has only averaged 2.1 points, 1.9 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 21.1 minutes per game during his previous 10 games. Has only shot 7/39 during his previous 10 games.

This is unacceptable from a starting 2G.

It's time to see Felton, Shumpert, Melo, Stoudemire and Chandler as our starting 5.

If Woodson's not ready to start Stoudemire at PF then go with Felton, Shumpert, Melo, Kurt Thomas and Tyson Chandler.

If we're trying to keep Kurt Thomas rested for the postseason, then go with Felton, Shumpert, Copeland at SF, Melo and Chandler.

I'm even willing to watch us go with Felton, White, Shumpert, Melo and Chandler.

Man, we could even get better production going with Felton, Shumpert, Novak, Melo and Chandler.

But, Kidd only averaging 2.1 points, 1.9 assists, 2.5 boards and 1.1 steals during 21.1 minutes per game during his previous 10 games, along with only 7/39 during his past 10 games? It's hurting us. I'm a supporter of Woodson, but he needs to bench Jason Kidd and give our offense a much better chance at success moving forward.

And the bold is what we get.

@HowardBeckNYT wrote:James White will start tonight, replacing Kidd. Woodson said he prefers Kidd w/ball in his hands, so he's effectively the backup PG now.

James White replacing Kidd at 2G was my last option. Would've rather seen Melo slide down to SF while Shump slid down to 2G and/or J.R replacing Kidd as our starting 2G, but, I was also a fan of giving White a chance at starting over an aging Kidd. This is great news moving forward, because we need Jason Kidd fresh and ready to go come postseason play.

It took a while, but credit to Woodson for finally making a change. I haven't seen too much of White, but he seems very athletic and if we get A.) Tough perimeter defense and B.) Limited amount of turnovers out of White? I'm all for this move.

Yes. Just having fun with the fact that I called for White over Kidd 6-7 days ago

Nice to see coach Woodson make a move.

I hope Prigs gets minutes. The offense is too good when he is on the floor for him to not get minutes,

I agree. I believe Kidd should be behind Felton, J.R, Shumpert and Pablo in regards to minutes per game. Pablo is no rookie, this man has been a great basketball warrior throughout his career with knowledge of the PG position that's sky high.

I won't sit here and state that White should play more than Kidd, but it's a nice step seeing Kidd being replaced as a starter.

And I like Kidd too. Loved what he did for our team during our great start. And for that, I want Jason Kidd fresh, healthy, rested and ready to contribute/fight come postseason play.

Now we know Mike Woodson is either CRAZY Or High

Got no issue with trying a change to bring JKidd aged off the bench for help or to get better start

HOWEVER .. Starting White ? instead of Stout Are you kidding me ?
if I'm Amare who is a true pro,
I Cant figure out why Amare cant get a start .. as if you think Woodson really knows what he's doing

Well I aint a coach

I think white is a place holder for jr. However, Kmart might be better in the starting lineup. Kidd has so many liabilities and compromises the offense in so many ways he almost should not be on the floor.

I think Woody might have had a hidden reason for this one. Prigs couldnt really play well with back spasms and Woody needed a backup PG.

That's what I started to think during the 3rd quarter while Pablo had 0 minutes played. Made a post like, if we're trying to keep Kidd fresh and Pablo's out? Why not play White and Copeland a little more while finding ways to rest up Kidd? But then again, play White AND Cope too much, and maybe lose the game.

Kidd didn't have a bad game, but for 28 minutes I look for more than 4 points of 2/6 shooting. But then again, Kidd did put up 5 assists with 0 turnovers to go along with 3 boards and 1 steal. Not that he played bad, just wish we could get the very most out of Kidd during 15-18 minutes instead of 28-30+ with this production.

Just want Kidd fresh, healthy and ready to contribute/battle like a warrior come postseason play is all.

Hes just playing too much and hes losing confidence in his shot badly. I want him fresh too. We dont need to stop playing him completely. We just need to start cutting his minutes down a lot.

Yeah and they did a close up on prigs during a time out where he was holding an ice pack on his back
