Have you seen jason Kid move and shoot--its not mental--hes done.

Have you seen rasheed wallace or Camby out there--nope they are done.

That was a big risk getting 40 year old players.

Its not mental its physical.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Spurs game and last night were prime examples

Not just that, they (especially Melo) constantly complain and look for the ref's to bail them out. Just man up, deal with the lack of calls and keep it moving. Seriously, in all my years, I've never seen a player make a difference by complaining to the ref's. Not like they are going to change the call.

I remember in one game Tyson saying to the ref, "I promise, I didn't foul him." I thought it was the craziest thing and was like, WTF are you joking Chandler. Did he really believe his PROMISE would make a difference.

Man up and play through it.

Melo takes a beating and doesn't get a lot of calls. However, his bellyaching is pretty annoying. He seems to be getting back on defense more after missed calls but he still needs to mature more.

You talking about just the media? Cause I remember quite a few people here were talking about how easily this team gets rattled after the Memphis and Bulls games.

they are crybabies and this stems from the leader, carmelo anthony

it's simple as that,

when you're the best player on the court you set the tone for the rest of the team,

so it goes as the big kahuna goes,

****ty team as constructed,

i wonder if donnie walsh will be alive in 3 or 4 years so that he can save us again

God as if it wasnt annoying enough seeing you repeat the same **** over and over again in the game thread yesterday. Melo has a lot he needs to change right now but you cant blame everything on him.

yea, you can,

that's how the world works,

when you get the big promotion at work for the big money, the big position and the decision making responsibility, you take the fall when **** hits the fan,

best player on the court has a lot of responsibility,

for whatever reason, melo can't handle this,

you get sick of me saying this? look around, everyone is saying this in one way or another,

No im talking about you blaming every single thing on him. I have no problem with some honest criticism of the dude. Hes been playing terribly and lazy. But theres others that need to get their act together too. It would be nice if you acknowledged that.

you can't throw away the idea of hierarchy when it suits your transitory hot flash in the pan opinions,

many fans wanted the big money star, well, he gets the 20$million for a reason,

but when you get that 20$million, there is the other side to it, that the blame goes directly to you first and everyone else second,

no one can wish this idea away

if you feel better sharing the blame, then you would do better with a balanced team without any max players, because then you can say "oh it's not just one guy",

no, on this team, with 2 max players, it's on the max players, mostly on Melo though because he's the shining star of Jimmy Dolan's twinkle eyes

With you the blame goes to no one 2nd. It starts and ends with Melo. I believe he should get a majority of the blame when we're losing cause he got the majority of it during our hot start. But you're acting as if once he stops whining and chucking up bad shots, JRs gonna stop, Kidds gonna turn back the clock again, Woodys actually gonna implement offensive schemes, etc.

no maybe it won't eradicate all bad habits in an instant,

but it's about stamping your character on the rest of the team so that over one season, over two over 5 over 10 years, the team takes on the demeanor of its best player,

melo lacks two things: first, the necessary character that a championship team requires and, second, the ability to impart his vision to a group of men

We all know who will get the glory no matter what he does, but if you attribute any responsibility of blame his way for what goes wrong, that's a no no

Chandler is usually the first person to start complaining and it seems to snowball from there.

Yea I saw that and posted on it on Wed night. It was bad, it looked bad. Hey I am a great fan of Melo but watching that and how he is leading this team or not leading make me wonder. I blame Woodson more than the team. He still refuse to change the starting line up and these guys play like they never played defense in thier life. LeBron or Kobe would never do that. Melo better wake up or this will be his last big pay contract. I don't blame Melo but I would expect for him to help fix it. Only time will tell. I still support Melo. I hope he don't disappoint me.

I agree what they did was f'ed up. I didn't like it when Nate and Lee were doing the same thing when they were in NY. Shows a lack of respect for the fans and the team. I blame Melo and Stat for the lack of professionalism and I blame Woodson for letting things get to a point where they feel like they can do something like that without any repercussions. There had better be or Woodson will lose the team. Time for Woodson to break out some new and improved accountability.

Those cases, it is. But what excuse does Melo, Tyson, Felton, J.R., Brewer (when he was here) and all the "healthy dudes". Even Amar'e lately.

If they were losing with great effort, I'd understand. But they look like they've just quit on Woody, and that is kind of shocking.
