Last night was a great night of Knicks basketball. The Miami Heat may have won, but we stopped the bleeding after four consecutive loses. We also took advantage of teams such as Brooklyn, Boston and Chicago losing. Teams such as Indy, Atlanta and Milwaukee all had off nights (+.5).

As of right now we're 6 1/2 games behind Miami, .5 behind of Indiana, 2.0 ahead of Brooklyn, 2 1/2 ahead of Atlanta, 2 1/2 ahead of Chicago, 5 1/2 ahead of Boston, 7 1/2 ahead of Milwaukee and 11 1/2 ahead of Toronto/Philadelphia.

What I like about our current situation, is we control our seeding. Indy has one more loss, Brooklyn has 4 more loses, ATL has 3 more loses and Chicago has 4 more loses.

1.) MIA: 40-14.

2.) IND: 35-21.
3.) NYK: 33-20.

4.) BKN: 33-24.
5.) ATL: 31-23.
6.) CHI: 32-24.

7.) BOS: 29-27.
8.) MIL: 26-28.

9.) TOR: 23-33.
10.) PHI: 22-32.

Pretty boring night of Eastern Conference basketball tonight.

Atlanta (5) @ Detroit.
Boston (7) @ Utah.
Toronto (9) vs. Washington.

On a side note, if Golden State knocks off Indy tomorrow night, we'll be right back to the number two seed.

Winning is good. <---- for some. <----- depending on how it's done.
I hate Miami. 11 in a row. Lebron is fast going to become the antichrist of NYK basketball, just like MJ was.

John Wall vs Rudy Gay. That might be worth listening to for a few minutes.

Hoping DLee has a career night-- GS wins, 142-138. The we can go back to the meaninglessness of being second in the conference!

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Let's slow down a little bit here. Not only has LeBron only eliminated us once (with a very weak roster we featured), but LeBron has yet to win an NBA championship during a full NBA season. Please, never compare LeBron to Jordan again.

If you were around throughout the very late 80's (but mostly) early/mid 90's, you'd understand that LeBron is nothing like Jordan in regards to leadership ability along with poise under clutch/pressure situations. Nothing similar my dude.

We faced Jordan's Bulls I believe 5 times throughout the 90's, and we lost all 5 series.

Just a few weeks ago you were Jonesing for first place, then "BAM" we 6.5 back!

It was a good nite because we broke a four game losing streak.

So right now if the season ended we'd face Chicago.

This is a pretty good thread and hopefully it does not become another HOU / DEN / Melo / Lin / Gallo thread. There are already about 10000000000000 of those on this board.

I like the Knick's chances of winning their division which is the primary goal. Let's see how things pan out. Th

Nothing special tonight but I'll be pulling for Detroit over Atlanta, Utah over Boston and Washington over Toronto.

Will all three outcomes take place? Maybe not. But I'd like to see our Knicks...

3.0 games ahead of Atlanta.
6.0 games ahead of Boston.

12.0 games ahead of Toronto.

Shump as the gimmick starter at the 2 for 12 minutes total?

Shump starts because you need the spark JR brings off the bench half the time

But Shump can't shoot, and he's almost as lame on D as Kidd. And that's primarily guarding bigger, slower people.

But maybe you're right. I don't know who else to start. We tried Cope. We tried JWhite.

Why worry about what other teams do?

Knicks play well and win they control their own dynasty, if we need to back into the playoffs we get bounced early anyway, so whats the big woo?

Im worried about JR smith keeping his wits, Felton staying healthy, Melo getting too many techs the old bigs who are not doing squat this year!

Im worred about Shump in about 10 more games and hope his setback is not too bad, and I'd like to see Amare keep getting better!

After that I hope the knick make it to the finals and play Denver!

ONly good can happen from that! either KNicks win a chip or Denver does and NYKMentality would have to self exile himself from shame!

Either way UK wins!

How would UK win if the Knicks win a chip?

You really believe somberism would subside if that happened?
It's June, chip's in the bag, and the top thread titles are:

"This is not sustainable, and here's the reasons why"
"Melo is still a loser, and here's the sabermetrics to prove it"
"Why I can't be happy looking at Dolan holding a trophy"
"Why we didn't win a chip the right way"

Denver "winning a championship"? Now that's a joke. Just like Melo had to face the Lakers and Spurs of their prime years, no way Denver can eliminate the likes of SAS or OKC. They wouldn't even be able to eliminate the likes of LAC and/or LAL. I doubt they could eliminate Memphis too. Also, Denver winning a championship? Say hello to their head coach. 25 seasons with 0 rings. lol. Maybe it was Karl who held Melo and Denver back all those years... 25 years of history, with 0 rings doesn't lie.

It was a joke.

NObody said it was a prediction, it was a joke.

But, if you must: Scotty brooks win a chip? MDA? Del Negro? Nope. So NYKM think Vinny Del NEgro is a better coach than Karl?

Funny, I laugh in the face of such obsurdity with my hands on my hips with self congradulatry wit at such a statement!!!!

In the east, besides Spolestra you have Boston with Doc. No one else has won as a head coach that is contending has the resume besides Pop? The INdy guy? Thibs? Woody? As assistants but not as head coach.

So lets do this real slow ok......"I HOPE Denver gets into the finals........" Its like NYKM says he hopes the knicks do even though we are power ranked tied for 10th. Im sure in his mind he has a laddered approach that he breaks it all down but it really hinges on a HOPE that we can be healthy something that has not happned yet. And that we can some how caputre the magic of the first 24 games.

I too can hope Denver makes the finals cuz then we win or some people get quiet.

Your way too smart and figured it out!

I don't doubt there will be some like that. I wonder if other teams win do fans also discuss it?

No, they only discuss such things in NYC, where knick fans are too smart and "sophisticated" to be happy with anything for more than 5 minutes.

Bulls are getting blasted by injuries- latest is Taj Gibson who is out 2 weeks with an MCL sprain. That's on top of Rose (ACL), Noah (plantar fascitis), Hinrich (various). Plus Deng looks like he's running out of gas lately too.

Our next 12 games are brutal:

Warriors
Wizards
Heat
Cavs
Pistons
Thunder
Jazz
Warriors
Nuggets
Blazers
Clippers
Jazz

It doesn't actually get any easier after that, but I'll stop there for now.

Well, this is either going to make us or break us.
