By the way Woodson just said on ESPN radio. No trades for what its worth

Translation....more chances for teams to get better than us

This. Mikey Woodson should stop playing GM and let the big boys handle trades. Not only does his refusal to consider trades limit our chances of improving a tired roster, it will also make him look like an unreliable, clown of a coach if he is proven wrong. Overall just a stupid thing to say, yet he keeps going.

Dagger - why must you call Woodson "Mikey"?

Not only is your post devoid of facts, your resentment of his able leadership screams that you evaluate him for much more than his excellent record as Knicks head coach.

He is th fastest coach to 50 wins in the history of the franchise, yet you paint him as an ignorant power grabber.

Really?

If they can execute trades for Reddick and Oneal for a reasonable sum---or something close to this ilk--we should go for it. I cant imagine Mike Woodson would not want to improve the team--hes been struggling with lineups himself. If you have to think about your line up for possible massive changes at the ASB--then you must be smart enough to know you might now have the full load to go all the way. Weve been a 500 team for a long period of time--weve got some foundational pieces but not the whole boat to make it go. This is close to an all in--if we can improve---I would have to think wed try.

When I heard that (last game before the break) I was chuckling to myself because just one day before, there was a thread here with multiple posters calling for his replacement next season.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

When healthy as a team, I'd love to see Carmelo return to his natural position of SF while both Shumpert and Stoudemire start. Have everyone filling in at their natural position.

Starting 5:
C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire.
SF: Carmelo Anthony.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Raymond Felton.

Backup 5:
C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Rasheed Wallace.
SF: Steve Novak.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Jason Kidd.

With Pablo Prigioni, Ronnie Brewer and Kurt Thomas as 11th, 12th and 13th men off the bench.

I'd like to keep the minutes on guys such as Kidd, Wallace, Camby and Thomas pretty low heading into postseason play. Which means backups such as Pablo Prigioni, J.R Smith, Steve Novak and Ronnie Brewer need to step up. But come the postseason, I hope we're able to unleash veterans such as Kidd, Rasheed, Kurt and Camby whenever needed.

I like that, only I put Prigioni in front of Kidd and play Jason only when needed.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Does anybody really want their bench unit, coming off the bench to bring energy and scoring, be Kidd, Novak, Sheed and Camby???

Really, LOL??? I get tired just thinking about the lineup starting the second half.

I don't think Kidd is going to the bench or Amare is coming to the starting line up.

I called him Mikey because I felt like it, deal with it. My post is not devoid of facts, he stated on the radio that there will be no trades after already publicly stating that shump would not be traded. These pieces of information are the only facts I based my post on and they are the only evidence necessary to suggest the point I was trying to make. I don't "resent his leadership", I'm just simply not a fan of coaches talking out of their asses when things are out of their control. Where do I call him a power grabber? On the contrary I think the reason he is doing this is to back his players, yet I do not believe it is the necessary or wise thing to do given the team's situation. The fanaticism with which you attacked my post is uncalled for to say the least, and it seems I have struck a nerve. It's not like I'm calling for the guy's head. I think you should take a nice bubble bath and calm down a bit.

Its impressive in terms of reaching 50wins with guys in and out of the lineup with Injuries. The problems with this team go deeper than Mike Woodson. It is a flawed team much like the Knicks teams of the past dozen years. I will only turn on Woodson if he keeps trotting out this pathetic starting 5 after Sheed and Camby returns or a trade is made. I'm willing to wait a week or 2 to see the team at full strength before calling for his head.

Once the playoffs come if we see more of the same with Melo trying to single handedly win games leading to another 1st round sweep then I will call for a complete blow up of the team. Roster and coach and hope Dolan is forced to go to alcohol rehab

Not to mention that MDA deserves credit for that record as well.

I've been calling for it for awhile now. Why Kurt isn't starting at the 4 is beyond me. His defense is still there, he has found his jumper which, was missing early in the season. He can defend, produce buckets and allow Melo to suffer less wear and tear. When I saw Melo starting at the 4 against the Clips, I immediately counted that game as a loss.

Kurt started a bunch of games this year. It resulted in Woodson putting him on DNP. You don't want to see 45yr old Kurt Thomas play more than 5mins a game. He is a liability defensively. We already are the slowest team in the league. Just because he can still hit an open jumper despite not being able to jump doesn't mean he can keep up with lighting quick PFs in the league

I think its pretty obvious the knicks players are waiting for Rasheed to return instead of sucking it up and doing what it takes to win which usually revolves around effort. Sad they are waiting on 2 40yr olds
