when a team has a group of guys who are questionable decision-makers, taking more shots than they should and passing less than they should, the result is that the team will have a hard time establishing chemistry and synergy. our core is filled to the brim with these sorts of players. the result is an offense that is not good enough to contend-- this is essentially the message magic johnson was sending before the break concerning this team.

the only real chance the knicks have of succeeding is focussing their energies on the defensive end of the court, creating turnovers and easy points.

but will players listen to woodson or tune him out... assuming that he actually demands that sort of defensive effort in the first place?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Woodsons the one telling a lot of these guys to keep shooting so I guess they're listening
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Yet despite all the offensive problems the Knicks offensive rating is 2 points higher than OKC was last year and ranks as one of the most efficient offense this year.

Offense is not a problem so your theory is off. Come back with some substance not silliness.

offensive rating and efficient offense. show me what these stats are and where you got them and then i will tell you whether i think they have validity.

He has (remember that whole thing with JR having a coach tell him to shoot as opposed to stop shooting?) but the point I was making was that I dont think its a matter of them tuning Woodson out. I think it comes down to what Woodson is coaching them that could be problematic.

I just said this on another post but most elite teams have an alpha star beta sidekick and a collectn of role players. On offense our problem is we have no beta sidekick for melo. Were relying on an erratic jr and a washed up stat. Our collection of role players is old and injury prone. To me were missing 2 of the 3 major ingredients for being an elite team
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
