JJ Reddick is a game changing type player. At the moment he is 5 times what Shumpert is and coming into his own prime. Shumpert is an unknown who could be years away no tweeks away.

I can't really place a true value on Shump. The Nash rumors might not have been complete.

he's not (imo) as good a facilitator as Jr and not even close to the defender Smith is but, he's a much more reliable option for the guard position. What has hurt us with JR is his lack of production. You just "can't" rely on him when you need a buckets from the 2nd unit.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Getting JJ is insurance in case we lose Smith to free agency. We'd have Reddick's bird rights too.

Shump is not going to come on until next year and he might only become tiny Allen.

The knicks offense its not that good. You saw that towards the end of the first half of the season.

Wake up fellas. I'm with Briggs...

We are not a lottery team waiting for guys to develop. We are trying to win a championship this year. Riddick is not micheal Jordan but starting games with him at the two instead of Kidd and shump makes the knicks deadly as hell

HAHAHA!!! That would be so funny. Of course, there's no way it would happen. But it would still be funny (and like a gift from God).

I don't think the Reddick thing happens either. But it seems obvious the Knicks aren't staying quiet. They want to hit a HR for the only asset they have left. For the record, I would do Shump and Novak for Reddick in a heartbeat. From what I hear, he's turned into a good defender. From watching him against the Knicks I noticed how hard he worked on that end but didn't know if that was consistent or just the MSG effect.

I don't know how the Knicks can do this. Salaries just don't match. Knicks would have to add a bunch of filler to make this work or add Novak to the mix. That is a lot to pay for Reddick. I doubt Orlando will take fillers from the Knicks.

Saw something on twitter where Orlando wants picks for red dock. Also Portland is looking to move hickson according to NBC sports.

Maybe it would involve Phoenix? We send Shump to Phoenix, Phoenix sends one of LA's picks to Orlando, and we get Reddick, with extra players being thrown in to make salaries match?

Shumpert=nothing to this team right now. Not only can Jj put up 15-20 points every night--hes developed into a nice passer. Theyve used him at PG and SG and he's done very well. We would get ball movement great shooting he goes to the basket well gets fouled and almost always makes the shot. With Melo and a post man like amare this guy will be wide open and I would expect a +15-20% output if given 38 minutes. If you take his stats now at 31 youre looking at 20-6-3 45% that could be considered all star level. Wed be adding what amounts to a lower level all star SG who can move to PG. If we can move shump to pheonix and they throw Orl a pick--what up? His defense far outweighs any defensive benefit from shumpert which I havent even seen since hes been back.

Doesnt matter. Woodson will continue to start Kidd over Reddick. If the knicks somehow get Love for Amare in a multiteam deal then im all in. Reddick alone aint beatin Miami. Maybe Minny prefers Amares shorter deal to Love's

I agree. Might as well go all in at this point. Question is how far in does Reddick get you. I disagree with briggs that the landscape of the league changes. Love and Reddick would change it. When is Love returning to the court??

A deal like this would make a lot more sense for orlando and portland. We cant trade our first rounder this year correct? Would love to get love and reddick for amare, shump, novak and co and possibly our 1st rd pick or a future 1st

Orlando can want whatever they like for Reddick. No one is going to give up anything of real value unless Reddick agrees to an extend and trade.

3 way

Novak to Milwaukee
Shumpert and Dunleavy to Orlando
Reddick to New York
