"the ship be sinkin'"???

I don't think we're unraveling, although I feel there greater realities about this team have caught up to us. We could unravel depending on our adjustments, focus, and inability to make good decisions going forward.

our schedule is harder not easier the last 34 games. that pushes the knicks more towards the possibility of unraveling. we have fallen back into the pack and we simply HAVE TO maintain a second seed.

the team of the last 35-40 games is not equipped to deal with adversity. as they say the center cannot hold.

the only cure for this team is rededication to laying defense. does the coach have enough sway to get this done?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

How long have you wanted to say that?

not long. but when a promising young player asks for a trade he is abandoning ship.

what does it say to you?

Oh wow. I was worried just a few moments ago you wrote they were essentially unraveling before our eyes but now its just a possibility. Thank Goodness.

it says many things, but your pessimism clearly comes shining through. this is a joke of an article.

Personally I am not sure that it is true but it is concerning. If he is asking for a trade then I question his commitment to this team. Similar to Greg Anthony when he put his goals ahead of the teams and made them be known. I think Shump might need to moved if he isn't committed to team goals. Contract time is different but right now his team is in a playoff race and badly needs him to produce. No time for guys that aren't on board. It might be best to move on if that is where his head is at.

he'll be another casualty of the win-now mode we are in. i just hope if he does get traded that we get a player who is content to defend and rebound. someone who is 7th man caliber.

i see no reason for being optimistic. i haven't seen an ECF finalist in 35 games. that's the goal.

"There are major concerns (from people close to Shumpert) over how the Knicks are developing him," a source from another team told SheridanHoops.com, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

"They feel he’s being played out of position (at small forward) and his confidence is suffering because of it. They understand the team is having success and it has to be the right deal, but they’d prefer Iman in another situation… And soon."

Well DUH like I told gunsewing he's never going to properly develop here when you have BLACK HOLES such as Melo/Amar'e/Earl....I don't blame from wanting to spread his wings grass is greener on the other side desire if true. Nor does he want to probably be pigeoned hole as some "do the dirty work" player be only a lock down defender.

He may see himself more along the lines of a Luol Deng type with possibly more athleticism full recovery from ACL injury.

He will never be Luol Deng talent on this team with the Motley Crue of Stooges we have here.

Once again we're in WIN NOW MODE.....Goodbye Shump....Grunny Get It Dunny Sunny!!!!!

Why does it seem like you want Shumpert traded?

He does. It's the I told u so attitude. If Shump is traded for someone like Misalp then thank you win now. I like shump but lets get real.

No it's more so the organization/Vet Star players forcing talented young players to make the greater sacrifices for this franchise. Since it wasn't a problem to let all of our young talent go in the past.... in particular when we weren't in WIN NOW MODE, then there should be no reason not to trade Shump, now that we are.

I didn't say make a bad Shump trade but Shump is by no means untouchable, nor did I feel the youth from the previous regime was. I'm also looking at this from an objective perspective, Shump's talents will not be maximized on this team anytime soon.

I could be wrong but it seems like you want everyone to feel how you felt when we traded all those players for Melo
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I don't think you are a casualty if you are asking to leave. I hope the Knicks keep him and there is nothing to this but he needs to be team first.

I think it is NONSENSE, IMAN want's to be in NYK, not so sure about playing most of his minutes at SF though
In the end, he wants to be here, and be known for his ability to bring DEFENSE back in NYK
He loves the crowd and energy of the Garden and the city life of NYK

I'm down. Even with Novak not playing to the level he did last year I'd like to see how it works. And considering how bad Kidd's been since he had to run point during Felton's injury I doubt that we'd be much worse off even if it fails.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

If Shump's "people" really want a deal, a man named Dolan will accommodate those same people faster than one can say Jeremy Whatshisname.

That resonates- I see "D" from the guards- Spacing from Novak--Carmelo in prime flow- Shumpert or Felton free to drive- Carmelo left undoubled- Alley oops to Tyson-

The tought thing would be on the Defensive end against any team w any size- Novak hustles on D and is obedient but not really effective- that puts a lot more on Carmelo- Maybe he can handle it- Think so Mr Earl?

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.
