Do both you and guns go to the same sunshine girls meetings?

Do you have any interest in adding something worthwhile to this forum instead of attacking other members?

Let me know when you two are done with the definitive work on "worthwhile". So far I have:
"if we make the playoffs"
"Shump to be traded"
"first round exit fodder"

Very enlightening.

it would seem there is a clear correlation between poor reading comprehension and being a douche on the internet. Coincidence?

But since some are slower than others allow me to help and clarify:
-I have no idea who doubted Knicks making the playoffs, I assume you fabricated that
-Shump to be traded? No... but attempts have been made to trade Shump. Thats a fact. This offseason Knicks offered package w/ Shump for Nash. So it would stand to reason that Knicks front office views Shump as a tradable asset. If the Knicks are to make a substantial move the only desirable piece NYK has to offer is Shump. Look at the history of this franchise and I wouldnt get too attached to him.
-first round exit fodder: Im surprised your talking about your hero Melo's career as such, even I dont resort to such low blows (tfk maybe). However I have said over and over again this team's worth will be proved then (in the playoffs) for better or for worse.

At least your not wishing bodily harm on people so posting has improved. I know we all here appreciate that. Thanks!

Shump was never an - what people seem to like around here - efficient offensive player. He looked good on the defensive end when I saw him at MSG

in college he was 40%(ish) scorer as well. He's got some good offensive moves which I expect to improve in time. Some legit PG skills as well.

Def one of my favorite guys on the roster

Strengths

Physically stronger than many players at his position
2011 Vertical jump
Mechanics on jump shot
Yootful enthusiasm, which leads to steals
Dedication to rehabilitate
High top fade

Weaknesses

Physically recovering from multiple leg injuries
2013 vertical jump
Jump shot lacks consistency
Yootful enthusiasm, which leads to being caught out of position
Rehabilitation is forever
High top fade

That's pretty good trolling MRE. LOL

I would have added his rapping is a little sloppy.

Hey guys, I am getting tired of posters laying down the "trolling" posts. Could we stop with that? Thanks.

What is a "trolling" post?

This is an honest question.

If threads are created to be segregated, what is the criteria for carry over dialogue?

The concept of "trolling" needs to be clarified for an old school Knicks supporter. Thank you.

- it's clear you have no ideas about alot of things. Your sunshine girlfriend guns posted about not making the playoffs. Try not to act like you're the only douchebag in the thread, it will help your posting.
- I'm sure our vaunted front office would view anyone on this roster as a tradeable asset. That's not my point. The negativity around posting about Shump being on another roster is. I'm a homer. Posting negativity gets a response. Good for you!
- So are you switching the subject to my Melolove to bolster your idea that "first round exit fodder" is "worthwhile" posting on a Knicks fan site while we're in first place? Again, try not to act like you're the only one here. Reading comprehension aside, why would I be talking about "my hero Melo's career as such"? The point is, you and guns are.

If you're not a negative poster, just show me how. Or maybe apply some sandpaper to that skin, bro. Justifying your negativity doesn't go a long way towards disavowing your negativity or showing anyone that your posts are "worthwhile".

Hoping "we all here" have a nice, safe day.

Shump looked great in warmups, with his crazy entertaining windmill dunk.

During the game, not as good.

En Garde

He’s played pretty well in spurts, I think. Defensively, he’s not reckless abandon like I want him to be, like he was last year. I think a lot of that will come once he feels the confidence in moving laterally and knowing when he can gamble.”

I think it's a bit much to expect him to put the physical work in to come back from such an injury and also work to improve your game...Takes time...Limit his time, let him gain confidence and strength...Remember, some guys don't come all the way back, ever...He will have motivation in the off season...Not everyone is or have to be Adrian Peterson, who is a beast by the way...

Shrump will be fine...
But the system is not benefiting him and he is not benefiting the system.
This team has no tomorrow so if they will see any minor upgrade they will pull the trigger.

Take Shump off the radar. He's not suppose to be effective yet.

But He got to get rid of the hair thing. Just looks comical.

The Answer Man Lets A Stunt Man Do The Dirty Work

fishlike - "Hows he looking mate?"

A. Berman: a disaster offensively

“His lateral movement is not where I think it should be. His timing is off a bit. He’s not playing big minutes. He’s still on restrictive minutes. He’ll be fine. When it counts, he’ll be there.’’ - Mike Woodson

(Berman opines) Shumpert has been a disaster offensively, too, going scoreless in Minnesota on Friday and scoring two points vs. Clippers. Shumpert said adjusting to small forward and being left in the deep corner for 3-pointers has been tough.

“He’s not getting into the flow and it’s just not about his offense,’’ Woodson said. “We didn’t rely on Iman scoring a lot of points last year. He’s still a rookie still trying to figure out this league.”

Who remembers Bernard King working his ass off for more than a year and a half, and still needing a brace? Yes, medical procedures and treatment have improved but... Knees are fragile things when healthy and this is the NBA.

No one is slowing down for I Man Shumpert.

fishmike - all I know for certain is that any call on Shumpert is more risky than Antonio McDyess. The future of I Man as a potential star is countered by the image if him limping off the court in march with a troubled expression on his face. Another setback would be disastrous to next season. The again, when you are in "win now" mode, patience is in shorter supply than 2.75 gasoline.

Tough call

Impossible to predict which way it turns

more risky? That makes no sense mate. McDyess had little holes drilled in his knee cap to inprove blood flow in hopes that it would heal stronger. Shump had a single piece of connective tissue screwed into his bone. The two are about as related as you and I are.

Mike, what's the risk of re-injury with this type of injury? Are the odds stacked up against Shumpert? I'm no doctor and all I've ever had was a broken wrist in which required surgery. Can't even arm wrestle with my right hand, feels like my wrist is about to explode if doing so. That was over 12 years ago too. But yea, what's the risk of re-injury?

Agreed, Microfacture surgery and ACL surgery are worlds apart, efficacy wise. That said, Microfracture surgery has come a long way. Amare had microfracture surgery and he still came back but it has been very hit or miss (especially in the first few years). ACL surgery is becoming very matter of fact. Adrian Peterson comes to mind as far as how you can come back close to 100%...
