I'll provide you with these telling quotes from none other Lebron and Dwayne Wade....

“It's like a competition me and D-Wade are having right now about who can shoot 50 percent, in each and every game,” James said, when asked a couple of days later. “I had no idea, because I don't know what's going on throughout the game as far as stats. I came in after the game, I saw 9-for-19 and I missed that last long three, I felt I could have gotten into the lane and got a layup. I've got to make up for it.

“Early in my career, I didn't take every shot as seriously as I do now, to be more efficient,” James said. “It comes with age, it comes with experience. You know, when you're an 18-year-old rookie, or a 21-year-old, third year in the league, you can get away with a lot of mistakes, and not looking at numbers as much. But as I've gotten older, I've been more efficient, taking care of the ball. I value possessions more.”

“We're both so conscious of wanting to shoot 50 percent that sometimes you wish you had that Kobe [Bryant] thought, where you just don't care,” Wade said. “We talk about it all the time. It sucks at times, but it's who we are.”

Good for wade and lebron, it shows they have grown mentally when it come to their craft....

Here's what's even more telling from Wade's 9yr career this being his 10th...he's shot less than 49% only 4 times. So obviously he hasn't shot bad from the floor and to be fair he's primarily been a finisher in his career but taking this mentality/approach to the game only shows why these guys have been the standard.

Lebron never shot better than 49% until 2009-2010 but since then

50.3%
51.7%
53.1%
55.0%

so true.. it is amazing that at 50+ % lebron still thinks there is a lot of room for improvement.. so what does he do? he comes out this year and shoots 55%.. my lord...

I think Melo's percentage would be slightly higher if he dunked the ball more often instead of laying it up. There are plenty of times he could have dunked the ball but, instead missed because he tried the finesse layup. It still wouldn't put him on their levels but, it would be an improvement.

When LB and Wade go to the rack they almost always seem to dunk the ball. That said, keep in mind I only watch them when they play us (for the most part).

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I watch them a lot, and one thing they have is that they are more athletic than carmelo.. so while it may be easy to say that carmelo should dunk more.. He is just not that type of player.. plus lebron and wade tend to make a lot of tough layups and shots.. I mean wade probably makes a good percentage of circus shots... LOL.. dude can be amazing at times..

It's also cool to point out that they are so aware of their percentage that they do not like taking low percentage shots at the end of quarters to hurt their percentage. However they do a great job who get more easy baskets in transition. They like others mentioned can elevate and finish at the rim better.

Summary:
LeBron and Wades farts smell like flowers, while that's just not how Melo does it. Melo stinks.

That all speaks of a high level of control, on the Self and the game, and that's why they're Champions
