I like this trade but I would think that LA needs something more than Bargnani back in return. Maybe Toronto throws in Calderon and we throw in a future first.

What do you think of this trade? Tyson, Gasol, Bargnani, and Calderon are the main components; those other guys are throwins to make the salaries match and can be replaced with whoever.

I like Briggs trade but think we should throw in a few unprotected 1st round picks.

Im kinda leery about giving away picks seeing how old our team is. We need to think about the future and building towards it.

Wow no responses to this?

I am in agreement for sure. Look at the Nets 4 bigs - Lopez, Blatche, Hump, Evans.

Knicks look thin down low and if they aren't gonna play Kurt, someone needs to be obtained in a smaller trade to spell TC. He looked hurt or sick or something yesterday.

Are you serious?

Once you make this trade....Your next thread in a few years will be "Lets trade Gasol for Chandler"

Gasol would be a good addition, but not at the expense of Chandler!

I would do Gasol for Amari! Assuming Howard opts out, Dantoni will have his Phoenix team back with Nash to Amari highlights.

Melo's defense has been taken to another level since becoming a New York Knick especially this season. With all that said? Tyson Chandler is impacting on the boards. And once Shumpert gets into full grind mode? I believe we'll see Tyson Chandler also take his game up another level.

Jeffries, Shumpert, Chandler and Woodson changed the defensive culture of our Knicks last season. Chandler deserved that defensive player of the year award and feel the best has yet to come from Tyson here in 2012-2013.

I know I should just leave this alone, but you just can't be serious with these comments about carmelo? are you kidding me man.. Jason kidd, chandler and then JR smith(whom I don't like) has been the best defenders on this team.... I mean carmelo taking his defense to another level? from what? horrible to NBA adequate on occasion?

3g and I have talked about clark for a while. I would love to have clark, but no way the knicks are even thinking about getting someone who is young with upside.. right now, the knicks are not thinking 2 years down the road...... they have gone all in.. Clark would be great tho..

Earl Clark is another MDA's special. Just like Diaw, Williams, Novak, and etc. Get fooled if you want too. ALso, a big trade is not needed. A baby trade like Memphis just made would be nice.

Steve Novak for Dunleavy would be very ideal

Diaw has been a solid role player off the bench for the Spurs, so he shouldn't be in that list. And the Memphis trade is a straight salary dump for them; it won't improve their team at all. Why would Milwaukee trade Dunleavy for Novak straight up?

Because he will probably be gone in a year and you are right about the Spurs Diaw. I credit their system though.

I get it was a salary dump for them but it's the Knicks getting involve with a team who is looking to dump salary. Those 1 year non-guaranteed contracts they have are perfect. They can just cut the players and save money. Even though White is guaranteed this year next year is not.

I'd also love to get Earl Clark. Maybe we can clearly win a trade for once. Send em Novak!

Even if he is as good as gone Novak's play this season has made him virtually worthless. I'm not even sure if other teams would take him as a throwin to make salaries match considering he's signed for 3 more years.

If JO gets dumped by the Suns because of his fight w/ the GM, he should be scooped up immediately.

I don't really understand the hold up w/ getting KMart, considering he's played with half the roster. Is he that much of cancer and maybe these same guys don't want him? I mean this guy was playing over Blake during crunch time in the playoffs. I'm not crazy about him, but I really find it odd.

He is not an MDA special. He has shown flashes of being a solid rotation player if given the chance. Also Diaw was a pretty damn good player in his prime not sure where you're getting at here. A Prime Diaw if better than half our current roster right now.

I look at Clark more like a Lamar Odom except not quite the tight handle as Odom....

I tell you what we've been fooled on...thinking Camby/Sheed would be healthy enough to stay in a rotation the whole season and without question fooled on...

thinking Brewer was better than a Ziploc Bag laced with smeared Kraft Mustard and Mayonaise on the inside and smeared Kraft Ranch Salad Dressing on the outside from a packed lunch you brought to work you threw away 3 days ago.
