Not saying he should have gotten involved but, that he should have been all business instead of buddy buddy.

so true. Oakley would never do that. He would have been all over KG and told Melo, not to worry, he would take care of it.

Thought this said Kevin Martin at first. I'd love to have him. I don't care about Kenyon.

I say go for it. Defense is slipping. Kmart can play the jeffries role but better. Can guard inside and out

man..this team is really missing Fishlips. Weird huh?

Yeah, I can't imagine what other use for him there would be at this point in his career.

I don't know..that's what people were saying about Sheed. I think he can probably provide better minutes than KT. Wouldn't make me angry if we got home. Low risk. Especially if Wallace is out. But chemistry can't be overlooked. If he's going to be a locker room problem then pass.

I don't believe Martin will. He's played with about half the guys in the rotation, if he gets a 10 day contract he'll have to show he can contribute. At this stage in his career I doubt Kmart wants to make waves on a veteran team. He was really down in an interview about not being able to find a team to play for. Enforcer or not, it can't hurt to give him a look.

I don't think Kmart is being brought here to stick up for Melo on a 10 day contract. Melo's current teammates should of handled Garnett

Should have, but Chandler was all chummy with him after it happened.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

This reminds me of when Tim Thomas got taken out by Kenyon Martin and was pissed at his teammates for not having a reaction

Better than Knets...

Caught between a rock and a hard place. I can see Kenyon bringing something of value to this team, but it's been hard enough for me to stomach the idea of Jason Kidd leading the New York Knicks. Add in K-Mart? Eesh.

As long as we don't bring on any of those green bastards, I guess I'll survive.

More reason to give Kmart a look, never know how this will turn out. I'm glad Woodson is being careful.

http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/knicksblog/stoudemire_minutes_game_be_cut_after_H8wbt1Lbqentk3yN4SDCUP?utm_medium=rss&utm_content=%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Knicks%20Blog%0A

In what has to be a disappointing revelation, Mike Woodson said today that he erred in playing Amar'e Stoudemire too many minutes on Monday for his physical well-being and now needs to curb his playing time.

Stoudemire had played between 17 and 21 minutes in his first three games back from knee surgery. On Monday against Boston, though, he was extended to 28.

"I just got word that I needed to back off because I shouldn't have done that," Woodson said. "His minutes will still be on a restriction. Probably around the 20 mark range. Somewhere in that area there. No more than 22-23 minutes."

Woodson added, "No setback but he was probably a little sore. That's the reason for it."

Stoudemire admitted today to being "a little bit sore after the game" but said he did not request for his minutes to be cut.

"It didn't come from me. I don't feel as if it's a setback at all," he said. "I feel great. I just think we're taking precautionary routes."

I watched some Clipper's games last year and I think Martin still has plenty left in him
Martin would fill some of the void that Jeffries left with his DEF, doing the dirty work, and the enforcer role, protecting Melo from incident's like with KG
I think it is a complete no brainer with our injuries for a 10 day non guaranteed contract, adding another reunion with Kidd, Melo, JR, Camby, and Felton 1/2 season
We already have players that are familiar with how he plays and what he can bring to the team
He would easily solidify our defense for 10-20 minutes a night, another problem we have had with our recent injuries
Starting with huste/energy and DEF, running the court well, he does a little bit of everything, some of which STATs will not show up on the box score

I see both James White and Kurt Thomas as dead weight, if we had to cut someone, if not I see no harm in signing them to 10 day contract to see how they would fit and how much they have left in their tank

I think Martin would be a great addition for the next couple of year's as well, playing the Reggie Evan's/Jeffres's role with that type of contract for 3 years about 5m total
He is much more skilled then both those Evans and Jeffries, he is a complete steal, and he produced last year without injuries
He can still play and defend at a high level and still has good athleticism, it would compliment Tyson Chandler with the rest of our TEAM DEFENSE
Outside of Melo, he would be our quickest PF, can hit the 12 foot jump shot to keep the defense honest, and he moves well without the ball with the ability to finish strong with good cuts to the basket

Who know's how long Rasheed will be out and if there is a chance that the injury could keep him from off the court for possibly retirement again
I would be sick if we watched him go to another contender, while we could use his presence

Would also like to add a PG that could penetrate to allow Kidd to play back SG which he has been very successful at as the secondary ball handler and sniper/spot up shooter to open up the court/spacing for the 1st unit, especially since Woodson doesn't seem to want to start JR Smith
We need someone to take the pressure of Kidd to allow him to be much more effective and have the ability to initiate the offense with penetration

I guess Jannero Pargo would make sense since Woody like's veterans and defense
He know's his role and has been a solid journy man throughout his career
At least till Felton is ready to come back healthy

NO To Kenyon Martin

- Rasheed Wallace was at least on the floor today, but he's nowhere near scrimmaging. Woodson hopes he'll start running next week. Running. Next week. Man, I hope that Kenyon Martin thing doesn't happen, but Sheed's not close.

Im completely on the Kmart train right now. Amare can't even play more than 20 minutes without something falling off. Even when Amare plays he either gets blocked, losses the ball, get stripped or bricks the shot. Wallace's is nice but he is slow for some faster bigs and his injury is unpredicatble. Cut Brewer or maybe even White to get Kmart in here now.
