I agree that Melo went too far after the game, but I cannot blame him either. Family comes first. I hope Lala is proud.

Yeah, KG's got problems. Still Melo shouldn't have fallen for the trap. If a colleague said that to me, I'd just chuckle and move on.

Are you married Bonn? If a colleague said something about your wife, you can honestly say you would move on? Would your wife even approve of that?

If it's baseless, why even take it seriously?

Because now his collegue is creating a poor work environment by saying that. Then again, you are right. If he's just ignored hopefully it stops. If it continues wouldn't you think further action would need to be taken?

Sure. I just don't see why get angry if it's nonsense. But yes it should not be allowed to continue.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Given that this is not KG's first time saying crap like this, Stern must show them who's boss.

Suspending him for that would create a lot more issues than it would resolve

words. that's all they are. Hopefully this is a learning experience for melo. As a leader, there is no excuse for a potential suspension.

Have you never lost your temper when someone's been deliberately pushing your buttons and insulting you or your wife or family? Really? exactly. EVERYONE has at least one button that should never be pressed. You've head of the Easy button, well, Garnett pressed the "I will bust dat ass" button. Me personally, call me a Bastard to my face and you will see the Farmers Boulevard come out of me REAL QUICK.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

garnett's objective is to win a ball game. he understands gamesmanship. he spotted a weakness and exploited it. he knows exactly what he's doing. melo was on tilt during the game and afterwards. best way to shut garnett up is maintain poise and play your game-- and win. he's no good at all when he plays angry. woody needs to run some picks and stagger screens for him next time so he can be comfortable out there.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Melo fell for the trap and will now hurt his team with a looming suspension.

Even woodson couldnt calm him down near the bus. Get a grip Melo. The well being of the Knicks is more important than your ego being hurt.

Cancer is a joke? nothing is off limits to him I'm glad Melo checked him.

Hate to say this but Melo should seek some advice from Lebron on that. The man probably had every insult in the book thrown at him once he went to Miami and he shut it out last season

1973 Game 2 Eastern Conference Semifinals

Clyde was slugged in the neck by Phil Chenier and did not say a word. The refs missed it.

"The best response to an opponents physical or psychological tactics is to keep cool and respond with the force of your game."

Walt simply looked back to check the identity of who it was and proceeded to bust eight consecutive jumpers in Chenier's face. The Garden went ballistic.

It was a beautiful thing.

Knicks win.

wife tastes like cheerios? that's not below the belt in my book. saying something about his son, maybe something to do wit him being a kid model or somrthing, that woulda been below the belt.

Hockey Fight

Next game in Boston, Thursday Jan 24, before the opening tip, Garnett and Carmelo drop their gloves and go at it.

there is no excuse for losing your cool. Melo was baited and he ate the worm hook and fishing line in one gulp. He went from having a bad game to having a bad game and looking like a fool. KG played him.

You want back at KG, you win the game and go public with his comments. Thats who KG is and let him get blasted for it.

Another I don't get Melo went to the Bus to do what. I mean seriously what was this backpedaling against Nate Robinson at the Garden going to do to K.G. at the Celtics team bus. It wreaks of pure idiotic posturing.

This is the same dude who clowned Lebron publicly last year for flopping saying....."Lebron can't get away with stuff like that on the streets"....

News Flash Melo you nor Lebron play professional basketball on the city streets....you play in the highest bball league known to man and that's the NBA. Start acting like a professional regardless of who your opposition is and how they are acting instead of like some fake thug.

going to the bus is stupid and it really gives the celts the mental edge..

if you are that upset, issue a hard foul, send a message....

waiting by the bus does what?

I am not a Melo fan, but I have no problem with him waiting by the bus or at the locker room for that matter. Lines were crossed and Melo is trying to do what he thinks is the right thing.

Would have I done the same? Most likely not. I would have just waited for my shot like Steve Largent.

Not excusing Melo for losing his cool and the game, but apparently Kevin Garnett said Lala tastes like Honeynut Cheerios
