Latrell "The numbers don't lie" Sprewell was a good teammate? Change that to he was sometimes a good teammate.

Playing in front of those big city lights and the pressure of of can start to get at cha and drive you to the bottle more or smoking more of that Killa to ease the pain.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Pre-season - we're too old; this is a joke team.

8-0 - This is a mirage, we're too old, we're going to break down, just you wait.

21-10 - We lost to Portland! And by 5 points! Melo missed the game tying shot! These stupid kids have been partying too much!

Next week: drug abuse, steroids and New Age mysticism. Woody's drinking too much coffee!!!

A few years back we all had a long thread on his knick legacy and some posters Spree was their favorite knick. Kind of like "Twilight" series, "Team Spree vs Team H20". The good son vs. the bad son. Sometimes its the bad son that everyone likes.

So the arguement was: "Spree a good teammate or not". I said no because he was often late to camp and some of his personal stuff interfered with team business and thus became a distraction. Once on the court he gave it all he got but I contended there was more to that. If team was to go on the road to Charleston for a week of camp and bond and he was not there it was not a good move. The broken hand incident as another example.

Of course Im mixed that he cussed out Dolan in MSG while wearing a timberwolve uniform but it was not the right place or time to do so.

Who gets arrested for playing music too loud? Someone who the cops keep having to ask and after a few attempts they kind of had it with the guy? We all know Spree had problems with authority.

I dont think it has anything to do with partying. It reallly comes down to the defensive intensity we had in November is now a distant memory, We cant outrebound anyone, and we continuously have bad 1st halfs.

Third week in February, the Knicks awake from their long winters nap (after running the streets and partying 'til the early morning light) to hold a players only meeting. Mike Woodson tells them he is done teaching and that the season is their responsibility. Trainers tape is prohibited and the whirlpool is shut down. Music is outlawed on the team bus. Shumps mix tape goes triple platinum but his iPod is confiscated.

Sheed leads the pre game huddle. Herb Williams gets tossed two consecutive games. The elders grind out some stunning wins in March. They are just getting warmed up.

Bo knows the playoffs are when the real season starts.

Its a cold night on the road, Jason is having a hard time sleeping so his friend rashweed makes him some warm milk and introduces him to a new strain of Afgan weed that won't show up on a test. The old friends laugh into the night drinking the milk but add vodka and Kalua and call it a "Hot Russian". Speaking of hot russians, the old friends remember "mad Vlad" now resides in town adn they call him. Within an hour 5 hot russian hoe's arrive for them to choose from. Laughing and telling tales of seasons past the two good friends look at each other, wink then just decide to take all 5! Jason gives Rashweed some Viagra and the two warriors work on theie sleeping problems with the girls. Coach woodson senses a disturbance with his team and makes his rounds. Hearing the giddy laughter of the seasoned vets he enters room. The laughter dies down and all is left is sucking and grinding noise and the beard of woodson. Simple math dictates Woodson has a problem sleeping and russian girl number 5 is helping woodson and his tension as well.

These are men of the road, men who 20k people will cheer or Jeer but men first. They will take their pleasures and have the money to pay for them as well. Jason will drive into trees and walk away. Trees fear these men. Women on the road cringe from Anal as these men go from town to town. It is the way for this veteran team, the elders will not be denied what is theirs for the taking.

The Next day in Sacremento the team loses. There is plenty of time to sleep on the plane home.

While gone the trees will sleep too.

But soon the elders will depart.

fish.mike - I would submit thou doth leanest towards the version that is more compatible with your X-Ray glasses. You already know the future. Originality is the envy of those who can only throw rocks.

Those baseball cards were good for making the spokes on our bikes sing. Why do I keep getting Hobie Landrith and not Willie Mays?

Please hold your applause until the end of the performance.

Cut him some slack. Given the way his N*yets are bipolarizing lately, he can be forgiven for some geographical confusion.

Earls fables need some spice.

I try, thats all we can do is try.

afgan weed: http://www.leafly.com/indica/afghani

Being able to pass a THC test is fiction. The Fables need some embelishment from time to time.

Its what fables are for!

When Kidd crashed his Escalade & hit the telephone pole before training camp started, he had to display a leadership quality when training camp started. Now as a veteran leader, Kidd came to camp with a very serious attitude because everybody was watching him to see if that was just a fluke night on the town for old times sake being in the tri-state area.

This is why the rest of the team came together with the no-nonsense approach and we got off to a blistering 9-0 start. Now lately we see the team starting off sluggish, even JR was on fire with his all around game. But lately he's been showing some signs of his old folly, but still hustling for the next contract. Kidd's decision making has been suspect, but many overlook it because he brought so much cohesion to the team with his gutsy play.

Now I see him passing up open threes and making bonehead passes, that are so uncommon like for him even at 39. I will continue to monitor and hope it's just a fling with the alcohol and nothing to be worried about. Camby Rahweed and Kidd all came to New York to win, but if they didn't they would have a great time hanging in NYC . We shall see.

I don't know how mewell got in this thread
