I think Tyson's not contesting shots the way he did in the past out of necessity. Too keep himself fresh, to be a PnR option, and to stay out of foul trouble at the same time. Knicks lack of healthy bigs is a definitely one of the reasons.

I think once Marcus can actually log some major minutes, Sheed stops wearing Air Force 1s, and Amare is finally here, it'll allow Tyson to be "Tyson" and be more agressive defensively.

I don't know. Last season our backups were Jared Jeffries and Josh Harrelson and he played much better defensively even when Amare was hurt.

Excluding Shumpert, we had Toney Douglas, Mike Bibby, Baron Davis and Jeremy Lin all getting blown by so Chandler had more shot blocking opportunities.

Our backcourt has been just as much as a turnstile as last year's and Shumpert hasn't played at all this season so it's not that. I'm just not seeing the same player defensively that I did last season. I believe if he played like this last year there's no chance he would have won DPOY.

We're 1-8 in the post-season with Melo. I know there were injuries but I wouldn't be focusing on the regular vs. post-season distinction if I were you.

How about Lee and Golden State getting some love?

Doing quite well out there.

golden state is fantastic, I expected them to be good actually, but surprised they are this good without bogut... I don't think anyone is ignoring them at all...
