he is a homer

it is annoying. I would rather have Breen, however, there is a middle ground LIKE CLYDE

The most important aspect of being a broadcaster is to paint an emotional picture. Whether its excitement or disappointment both guys are elite in that department. The same with Marv Albert. The color guy(Clyde, Hernandez) are there to educate about the nuances of the game.

To be honest with you, I try not to listen to announcers when I watch sports, sometimes I'll catch them but usually I might turn the sound really low or maybe I am watching on a stream and then I catch some homers

Wow watching knicks in 60 6 game winning streak, I can tolerate Spiro Dedes better than listening to Mike Breen the dragon slayer of the knicks players.

Marv Albert is STILL the all time best as far as Knicks announcers go. Unfortunately, management couldn't stand the truth being told when they started putting an inferior producton the playing floor. Our loss

I used to think Breen was poor, but then I started listening to some other teams commentators, and some of them are truly abysmal. Those Twolves ones from the last game were a new low- JR dropped the ball and it rolled towards the audience, "He should get a technical and be ejected!". Melo grazes AK47's face, AK47 blatantly flops, "Wow, he took a huge shot to the jaw! BAM!" even on the replay, and they seemed to be paranoid, hurt and angry, worrying if NYers had heard of Schved or Pekovic, to the point they were taking it personally "I wonder if they even thought to put Schved on the scouting report"!

I'm glad Breen isn't a mindless homer, and can be balanced and critical (sometimes annoyingly so). Hate the way he always supports the refs, but he's not as bad as a lot of commentators out there. To be honest though JVG is my favourite to call Knick games by far, just because he has that connection with the team, isn't afraid to speak out and can be pretty funny too.

Breen has an agenda against the Melo led knicks and that can wear thin on you. He and Kelly Tripucka were for Danphoney, well ya see Tripucka is gone Breen can go and do national games where he's better suited to a national audience.

Only when the knicks run on all cylinders does he give the proper credit they deserve.

He's constantly ready to pounce on JR Smith by bringing up his past failures and making in present., I hope he doesn't announce the knicks game today.

Things you will never hear Breen mention when Kidd isn't playing well is Jason Kidd's DUI incident that started off his knick career kind of shaky when he ran his suv into a tree.

Breen is announcing so different than when he does knicks games on MSG, I like this version of Mike Breen
