I doubt thats the reason. He is just not any good. There is a reason Chicago let him go and brought in Belinelli and Jimmy Butler. Good franchise!

I am pretty sure that I read that Thibs really wanted Brewer and Asik back. Brewer is good. I was in Syracuse for his first game as a Knick and his knee was really giving him problems. He seemed fine by opening night but I think he came back to soon.

Agree 100% Id go further and say lets work Copeland into a 38 minutes starting SF if he can earn it. I think he can be that good.

If Cope struggles with to's, defense and rebounding early pull him. No different than how Woodson pulls Brewer early

Me too- he has been on the decline ever since that game where his knee swelled up and he got his minutes capped as a precaution.

I like what Woody said though- something about he was an important piece for us at the start of the season, and they don't just through players under a bus just because they're struggling- wish some fans had the same policy!

Before his knee problems, Brewer was a really important part of the defense we were playing- seemed he always had a hand in important plays. I don't think it's a coincidence our defense has gone south along with his production. Ideally I'd like to seem him given a rest, and a little time to properly rehab his knee and lose a bit of weight, but we can't afford to at the moment.

The ridiculous 3pt shooting percentage early masked the fact that outside of Melo this team doesn't have enough scoring until Amare returns. Now that the 3 is not falling Brewer looks more and more like a glaring hole in the starting lineup

Copeland is not 23 yr old rookie, he's 28. He's isn't just new to playing in the NBA, but on the worlds greatest NBA stage.

Just like Novak was his 1st yr with the knicks, nobody knew (scouted him) and he got his shots off.

The difference with Copeland is he can pump fake and dribble drive in for a layup

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Nah, his shooting was an unexpected extra- it's his defense we miss and we need that back.

No I mean the crazy 3pt shooting success we had as a team is wearing off and now the team looks more like what we expected it to look after Amare went down in camp. Melo and a streaky JR. Not enough offense

Ha- I was going to say I didn't think Brewer was shooting that well early in the season. I agree, but thankfully we have some players scheduled to return who can hopefully give us what we need. The team has done great so far to get us to where we are- way better than anyone expected them to. Remember this was the mentality on these boards when amar'e went down in the preseason and Tyson hurt his knee:

We're starting to run out of steam a little bit, and our flaws are a bit more noticable so I'm glad we've got some reinforcements coming. Think the players are tired too- we've had a lot of injuries and an unforgiving schedule with very little rest time or days off.

I think the knicks need to start thinking about covering liabilities on the court. Kidd Brewer and Chandler can't score unless another teammate does the lifting for them. Maybe we should sit Kid and Brewer to start games???
