New Orleans Brass

Yea, that really is good, earl masterful as usual

To go from there, what about the New Orleans Basketballs, Balls for short, and you have to have Balls to play there

Balls?

Thank you for the kind words IronWill. Unfortunately, balls would never pass the desk of David Stern and you know it. New Orleans deserves a name that captures its unique personality, essence and soul.

"Second line with our brass"

"Have a blast with the brass"

"String music optional"

any references to music, the Cajun, or good times in general seem to work for New Orleans. I'd argue the 'The Saints' works more because of 'When the Saints Go Marchin In' than The Pope.

My serious recommendation would be to contact George Rodrigue and pay him a sum of money to name the team the Nola Blue Dogs. It's well known, local, and clearly Mr. Rodrigue has no problem intertwining corporate interests with his art

The name itself definitely works, I'm just not familiar enough with New Orleans to know if it makes sense.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

from Wiki:

More recently and worldwide he is known for his creation of the Blue Dog series of paintings, featuring a blue-hued dog, attributed to his deceased dog named Tiffany and influenced by the Loup Garou legend—the first painting in the series bears the title Loup Garou. The Blue Dog was made popular by Absolut Vodka in 1992, when Rodrigue was honored as an Absolut Vodka artist, joining famous artists such as Andy Warhol and glass artist Hans Godo Frabel. The Blue Dog was used by both Absolut Vodka and the Xerox Corporation through national ad campaigns. The blue-hued, ghostly spaniel/terrier is often featured with a white nose and yellow eyes. His symbol helped coin the term Blue Dog Democrat, which refers to a conservative member of the Democratic Party.

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.
