i am worried. lets be honest melo's injury was more serious than they said. Also our defense has been less than spectacular since the 6-0 start

Nets are a big, physical team and they knock Melo around a lot. This might be a good game for him to miss regardless of the outcome. Also a little worried about all of the guys coming back and Melo's hurting when he tried running today. Nets announcers said Amare maybe back on Friday. Rotoworld reporting Camby will play on Friday. It maybe nothing but seems a bit like the Knicks are looking to get other guys to fill in/make up for a Melo absence.

it doesnt sound like he will play. he said the knee/hip are fine so thats good news. However he says the ankle is still swelling so thats not good. Melo is having a MVP season unfortunetly he is getting injured a lot lately hopefully it isnt a trend the rest of the way

Hopefully he recovers soon. We don't want to be like Chicago :(

I don't see a trend here in 2012-2013 in regards to Melo being injured. The first time he was hurt (missing two games) it was because of a fluke injury in which he dove for a ball cutting his hand and needing stitches. That's already an injury and/or thing of the past. Now, in regards to his ankle being injured? He rolled it. Simple as that. But, you do have a point in regards to the rest of the way Irish. We need Melo to be at 100% when returning. If Melo needs to miss 10 games and the Knicks were to go 0-10 during this stretch? Then so be it, but Melo's health come postseason play is more important than anything today. We need him 100% upon return so like you stated, it won't become a trend upon return.
