I know there is a more liberal view of marijuana in those states and I think it is almost legal in Colorado but I can't imagine that driving wouldn't be a concern and he was in his car. Codeine cough syrup is troubling.

Bleacher report has a second arrest that they call strike two from an earlier article. Not sure if it is in reference to the drug policy but it did involve codeine again so that seems to be a common denominator with shawne.
In Jan. 2010, Williams was arrested in Memphis on felony drug charges for selling a codeine substance and was subsequently put on probation. Strike two.

Its both minor offenses. Depends on state. He should be fine after a while. Its a shame how they paint him to be a coke dealer. He's stupid for doing this in a porshe in the open like thus can't be riding dirty like that.

Plain codeine is a C-II narcotic in the US and is an opioid which means it is derived from the opium poppy which is used to make heroin. Opioidss are probably the most commonly abused prescription drugs and include codeine, morphine, hydromorphone, percocet, and vicodin. Addictions like this are really nasty and are incredibly hard to kick.

Shawne is being paid by Portland $3,158,000 but is not on their roster. I believe he was part of the trade with Nets and Portland but he was injured. Maybe he still is injured???

A good thing for Shawne was that playing for the Knicks or the Nets, he was away from his "friends" in Memphis. Now he is back there and in trouble again. It's a shame - he was a fan favorite here.
