I love Shumpert but his jumper is not consistent - based on last year - and he will not consistently punish teams for doubling off him. Shumpert shot 30% from three last year. Not nearly good enough. I don't believe Shumpert has a consistent mid-range jumper either. He is young and he will improve but not enough to provide the consistent shooting to space the floor for Melo to work and perhaps Amar'e down the line. I would prefer either of the two starting lineups:
Felton
Kidd
Shumpert
Melo
Chandler
or
Felton
Kidd
Melo
Amar'e
Chandler
In short, I don't see a scenario Kidd and Felton are not starting. Felton and Kidd run the PnR extremely well and keep the ball moving.
