I was being sarcastic...

But we have a great formula. Play defense, attack the basket and rain 3s

Kidd is like 3rd all time in three point shooting. He would be the best three point shooter on many teams. It helps that he only takes wide open threes. I actually think Novak is the better shooter based on his volume.

Not in the 4th qtr against a good team, I'm taking Kidd over Novak.

Novak is more skilled at getting that shot off when contested. He needs much less space than Kidd to be 'open'

As for who is more clutch Novak has certainly hit some big ones in his career. I would trust either so long as its a good look

figure that..

most of kidds 3's are practice wide open shots, novak gets so much attention now, he's rushing majority of his shots, I'm glad he added that little pump fake or else he would really be in trouble.

he should watch tapes of Allan Houston.. set high screens for the PG then roll off... that sort of thing. I think we will see more from him

He needs to work on that mid range game..Honestly, i felt like MDA put novak in a better positions, ran more screens..woodson has him camping out and spreading the floor. I also feel if MDA was here kidd -with out question- would be tops in the league for mpv..

I'm not taking away anything from woods, he's done a hell'uve a job so far and we are one of the top scoring teams, but I just feel like woodson and MDA make a good pair..One is hell bent on defense the other is hell bent on offense..with the pgs we currently have, im sure we would avg 112ppg..

I've seen Novak knock down timely 3's , but I have yet to see him knock down a 3 against a good team in the 4th qtr when the pressure is intense. Any other time he can be automatic.

If we would be honest when Kidd or Novak gets a 3 pt shot you in the 4th qtr against a good team you hope Novak's go in , but you are more confident that Kidd's shot is going in.

I'm shocked when Kidd misses a 3 or a FT. He is the Knick who is most clutch. I'm shocked when JR and Rasheed actually make a 3

Rasheed especially. Whenever he makes it, it's a bonus.

JR's game is always NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, oh it went it in? YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

+1 on Sheed.

Kidd's one notch below last year's Novak for me. I don't always expect it to go in as I did for Novakaine, but whenever he misses I think, "Ok, well he's going to hit the next one!"

The offense was abysmal last year under Dantoni because there was more of a focus on defense hiring Woodson. Dantoni's SSOL doesn't work when you play defense and slow the game down

Anybody remember Novak knocking down a 3 at the end of the 4th qtr against a good team ?

From what I have seen from Novak he was known from around the league for knocking down 3 uncontested. Teams eventually caught up with him and most of his shots are contested unless we swing the ball well and he has an open look.

Jason Kidd is a pg/sg now and he's usually left open because he seldom's penetrate to the basket anymore and can't shoot runners well. He will be on oppossing teams radar as the season goes on and this will open the floor for Melo Smith, Amare if he and Novak are on the court at the same time.
