Healthy Shumpert equals no use for Brewer.

Because Brewer can guard threes allowing Shump to guard the quicker pgs or Sgs. He struggled against size i.e. Paul Peirce, Lebron(given), and Joe Johnson. Also, we still have not seen a healthy Brewer yet.

You nailed it. Can't say Knicks don't need Brewer because they have Shump. 2 different defenders. Shump uses quickness. Great against the Drose/westbrook/hardens of the league. Brewer is more physical and our best bet in guarding Lebron. Something Shump,Melo, JR, Novak can't do

I disagree with Melo not being able to guard Lebron but I don't want him on him 48 minutes. Unlike Brewer Melo has the strength to defend Lebron in the Post and is capable of guarding him up top. It's not loke someone can lock him down but I think Wallace, Melo, and Brewer are all capable defenders against Bron.

I would like to agree, but by the time our postseason comes around Shumpert should already be in full swing. With perimeter players such as Kidd, J.R, Shumpert and Melo I'm just not sure if Brewer will be happy with his playing time/minutes per game down the line (once Shump returns) and especially when Stoudemire returns. Hopefully we can lock him up long term. Same with J.R Smith.

Brewer is not a fan, he is a player.

YOu stay at your job because you like it if you get paid 1/3 what you think you might be worth? And your career is likely less than 10 years in total?

Homers in theory can afford to spend others money, or defer.

You think Brewer getting 9 million a year, because we can offer 3million. Or is the 1/3 number you threw out made up to make the "homers" look worse???

Hopefully the Knicks can afford to bring Brewer back. Are homers the guys that were going to spend 65 mil to keep Lin?
