You bust the current champion on their home court by 20 without your best player.

This is how you built a championship atmosphere.

Defense and teamwork!!!!!!!

Jason Kidd defines leadership. JR Smith may be borderline crazy but he is our crazy and that is a good thing when you need courage.

Miami made their run and we never flinched. The third quarter, coming out of the locker room, we took their heart. Our bench was huge. James White contributed quality minutes while Sheed held it down on defense. The more he plays, the more Pablo gains confidence. He drove the ball to the rack with more aggression than in previous games.

We have a coach who gets his message across. Hell no, he does not owen Mike D'Antoni a damn thing for his success. When Rasheed came out of the game, Mike Woodson's, "those are some quality minutes boy", as he tapped Sheed on the head, was priceless.

Steve Novak is having a blast.

Maybe you need to elaborate a bit more

i dont have a problem with what earl is saying. i agree with part of your sentiment though, we all know everyone is playing through injuries but i think it sounds a little different coming from felton (or something) the dude is like a bulldog.

felton when playing for the knicks has been a top5 NBA PG which is honestly saying something.

Editor's Note

For Mike Woodson to use "great minutes boy..." describes his special connection with his players. For those who may not understand the context, "boy" is a term used by close black male friends to reinforce a connection of respect. In Woody's usage he also asserts his position as both leader and peer in the struggle. It is nuanced, hip and effective. Even with a proud, 36 year old veteran like Rasheed Wallace.

Mike D'Antoni could never get away with it. Double standard? Absolutely. It is what it is.

You bust the champion with all their toys in place, and spank them good, TWICE.

JR to Novak back to JR...for three!

You will never be able to take this early season away. Nothing will make this fade.

Somberite away; it will make no difference. We go inside, we go outside, we play D, we man up, we take care of the effin ball.

Was that a James White highlight I saw???

The other great highlight? Tyson on the give and go with LeBron just staring at him going to the rim, while RuChris Bosh waves buh bye to Tyson from 4 feet away...

You also saw him matched one on one against Lebron. Imagine, our 30 year old accidental tourist, matched against the best player on the planet. Oh yeah, White was 3-3 from the field. Something to tell the grandkids.

Priceless. The moment my people took over AA Arena with sounds of "Let's Go New York!"
