It felt awful at the time, then even worse as the years passed by and we realised we could have had a front court of Camby and Amar'e. Now we can finally see that 10 years later! Shame about the age and injuries- but I just need to see it for closure!

That was horrible. I was on my way to a friend's to watch the draft and reports started coming on the radio about the Knicks making that trade. That trade and the year the Knicks skipped on Artest are probably the two worst draft nights I have experienced and the Knicks have made some blockhead moves on draft night.

Layden passed up on Amare, because he was image conscious and didn't want to take a risk on a guy like Amare who at that time was said to have some baggage. Amare then becomes one of the classiest players in the NBA throughout his career. At the same time Amare stopped working out for teams after the suns gave him a gurantee.

I was hoping to pair Amare and Camby together or trade Camby for another lottery pick and come away with Butler and Amare or Amare and Nene.

That trade set us back at minimum 5yrs.

I remember that, Postell was po'd that he couldn't start because he had a few good moments on the court in spot minutes. The guy was delusional.
